I walked into the bar and looked around, not many people here, must be too early. I walked over to the bar to talk to the bartender. "You know who I can talk too about a job?" I asked him. "You'll have to talk to Gary, he's the owner. He's right through that door." He said. "Thanks." I said as I nodded and turned around and walked to the black door with the words, "Office" on it. I lightly knocked before hearing a man say, "Come in." I slowly opened the door and walked in. There sat a man sitting at a desk. I slowly closed the door behind me, "What can I do for you?" He asked.

"Are you Gary? You're bartender said I could talk to you about a job." I said. "Ah yes, and you are?" He asked as he held out his hand, I shook it lightly before speaking, "Alex Winters." I answered. "Nice to meet you, Alex. You have any experience with bartending?" He asked. "No." I answered. "Hmm...well, I'm afraid I can't help ya then. I'm sorry." He shrugged. "It's alright. Thanks anyway, Gary." I said before heading out the door. Damn, no job. This was going to be harder than I thought.

When I got home, I threw my keys on the counter, along with my phone and wallet before heading into the kitchen. I made myself a cup of hot chocolate, grabbed a notebook and a pencil before heading out on the back porch. I sat down at my small glass table and began to write. I had nothing better to do, might as well write some new music to get my mind clear. As I wrote and drank my hot chocolate, I couldnt help but look up at the sunset. It was so relaxing and beautiful.

Out of the corner of my eye, I looked next door to my neighbors cabin, there was that Daryl guy again, sitting on the steps of his back porch, watching the sunset like I was. I tried not to stare at him, as I noticed his beautiful blue eyes and his dirty brown hair, even if he was dirty, even if he was a redneck, he was attractive as hell, I felt my face flush and I found myself staring. I guess he noticed me staring as he slowly looked over at me.

I quickly pushed my head down into my notebook, hoping he didnt notice me staring. My face was still red and I couldnt help but pick my head back up slowly and quickly glance over at him. He was still looking at me. He probably thought I was an idiot and that I was crazy. I let out a big sigh as I closed my notebook and picked it up along with my pencil and empty cup as I stood up and headed inside. I put my cup in the sink and headed to my bathroom to take a shower.

An hour later, I was in bed. I was tired, but my mind kept me up. I couldnt help but think about the attractive neighbor, Daryl. I should try to talk too him, seeing as I barely knew anyone here. Maybe, I shoukdnt be so anti social, it's not healthy. I thought to myself as I drifted off to sleep.
