"I've just been stressed out lately...that's all." I lied. Megan looked at me in suspicion. she knew I was lying. But I didn't want to talk about it, and she knew, so she nodded and left it alone...for now. Right now, all I could think about was Daryl, those gorgeous blue eyes, I just couldn't get over them. Daryl seemed like one of those bad boys, and I typically found myself falling for them. But, maybe Daryl was different, never judge a book by it's cover.

"Well...guess I'll see ya later. I'm going home and going back to sleep." Megan said. I chuckled alittle, "Alright, feel better." I said. Megan looked at me with a small smile on her face as she nodded and headed out the door. Hmm...what to do now? I let out a big sigh before I looked up at my acoustic guitar hanging from my living room wall. Man, I really miss playing...miss singing...miss writing songs. I cautiously grabbed it from the wall. I headed into the kitchen, as I opened the fridge, I grabbed a beer.

I walked outside to my back porch and sat down on my lawn chair. I opened my beer and took a drink before sitting it down. I messed with the nobs on the top of the guitar to check if it needed to be tuned. It's been awhile since I've actually held a guitar in my hands, it made me miss the band even more. Luckily, the guitar didn't need any tuning. As I softly began plucking the guitar strings, I found myself playing a song I had written.

Me and the band only played this song a couple times and every time I felt my emotions pour out. It's called "You". It was a song I had written when me and Marcus ended. I don't know why I was playing this song, how silly of me. As the song ended, I actually found myself emotionally fine. No tears this time. I smiled alittle as I set down my guitar on the table. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone standing next to me on my back porch. I looked up to see Daryl standing over me.

He looked down at me with sad eyes. Of all the times he could have came to see me, he had to be here right now, he must have heard me and walked over. "Hey..." I muttered. His eyes were gentle and beautiful...just I remembered. "Hey..." He replied. It became awkwardly silent between us for a minute as I racked my brain, thinking of what to say next, but before I could say anything, he spoke. "That was...beautiful." He muttered shyly. I flushed at his compliment.

"Thanks..." I paused. "How long have you been listening?" I asked. He sat down in the chair across from me, but this time he was looking down, avoiding eye contact. "For awhile." He answered. "Oh..." I said as I flushed even more and looked away from him. "How long ya been playin?" He asked as he pointed down at my guitar on the table. "8 years." I answered. Daryl looked up at me in amazement. Does he not know who I am? Good, I hope not. I was actually starting to like Daryl and I didn't want my "oh-so-glamorous" lifestyle scare him off. I pulled myself out of my thought as I looked up to meet Daryl's eyes. "It...helps." I muttered. "With what?" He asked. I paused for a second, thinking of an answer, "Life?" It was more of a question than an answer.

Daryl raised his eyebrow in confusion as he continued to look at me. I smiled alittle bit at his reaction. Daryl blushed. Oh! Don't look at me like that. My heart melted, he looked so adorable. I bit my lip and Daryl quickly looked away. "Don't bite your lip." He muttered. "Well then don't look at me like that." I said. Daryl let out a little chuckle. Suddenly we both turned our heads to Daryl's cabin as we heard yelling from Merle. "I better go." Daryl muttered as he stood up. I nodded as I watched him. "See ya later." I blurted. Daryl stopped and looked back at me in surprise. He gave me a small smile and nodded before turning back and heading back inside his house.
