I woke up to my phone ringing, I sat up, grabbed it and answered it before looking on the caller ID. "Hello?" I said with a yawn. "Alex! I know you're not just waking up!" She yelled. It was Megan. I let out a sigh, "I'm up! Don't worry!" I said with irritation. "Good, because I'm almost there." She said. "Alright, I'll be waiting outside." I said before hanging up. I quickly got up and got changed. I quickly brushed my teeth, straightened my hair and put on light makeup before heading outside. I walked accross the street to the house she was moving into. I sat down on her porch and waited for almost 10 minutes before she pulled into her driveway.

She quickly jumped out of her truck and pulled me in for a hug. "I missed you so much, Alex!" She shouted. "Miss ya too, Megan." I said as I pulled away. "We're definately going out tonight." She said as we walked to her trunk and began carrying her stuff inside.

When we were done, we were now sitting on her couch. She was going through her things and unpacking. "So, meet anyone interesting yet?" She said as she over exadurated the word "interesting". I let out a small chuckle, "No Megan, no guys. You know my rule now." I said. She looked at me and frowned, "Oh come on, Alex. That was 5 years ago...you need to take chances." She said before turning back to unpacking.

Megan had a point, I always played on the safe side, and maybe that was my downfall. If I didn't take a chance once in awhile, I might miss out on something great. I might even end up alone. The thought was scary, but so was heartbreak. How could I ever handle another one, if I was to meet someone "interesting"? Days like these, I wish I could look into the future. To know weither or not, I was on the right path. Weither to play it safe or take a chance.

Me and Megan decided to go out to the bar for acouple drinks, to celebrate her being here. We grabbed acouple drinks from the bar and sat down at a table. I was already on my third drink and I knew I had to cut myself off. But Megan was cutting loose, she was on her 3rd drink as well and she sat there flirting with a guy, same ol' Megan. I sometimes wish I could be that outgoing. I let out a big sigh as I sat there. Megan sat down next to me with a guy, she was lost in her conversation with him. I looked around and noticed him again, Daryl. And he was looking right at me.

My inner self was pushing me, telling me to talk to him. When I remembered what Megan said, "You need to take chances." Megan was right, I thought before getting up from my seat as I found myself walking over to the attractive redneck. I sat down next to him, "You're not very descrite." I said.
