Chapter 14

Chapter 14:

It is finally Monday morning and I am dreading school. I am staring at the ceiling, not wanting to get up to get ready for school. The drama that is waiting for is so not worth going to school. Sunday, I patched things with Clem and Naomi.

We discussed what the problem was and how we are going to handle those witches from hell on Monday. We just decided to ignore them and try to fit in more than we usually do in school for Mom's sake. I cannot wait for school to be over or better yet gradation could not come any closer. I get up and do what I need to do.

I get out of the bathroom and enter my closet to choose what I am going to wear today. It is getting colder and so I take out my skinny jeans, long sleeve tight shirt, leather jacket with a hoodie attached to it and combat boots. After I finish dressing up; I went to go fix up my hair, I decided to leave my hair down and to put on a Yankees baseball cap.

I walk out my room and went downstairs for breakfast. I sat down and ate my food. I waited for Clem and Naomi to come downstairs, so we could leave. They came down and ate breakfast. We left in my Audi r8; we started to sing Secrets by One Republic. At the end of the song, we started to laugh. I sat in the back and got lost in the memories of what happened yesterday.

I walked up to my Naomi's room and knocked before walking in. I opened the door before she could say come in. She was in a handstand and her eyes were closed. I closed the door behind me and moved towards the bed.

I look at Naomi and her face would look peaceful to strangers but she has a scowl and look like she is having trouble holding her handstand for the first time in her life. Naomi prides herself in her flexibility, because she knows she does not have the strength in close combat that involves mostly hand to hand combat like me and she does not feel all that comfortable with a weapon in her hand and not so great with aiming like Clem.

Naomi can hold her handstand for hours and do this in her sleep. I remember she fell asleep while she was in this position and she stayed that way until she woke up the next morning. She has the strength to do close hand to hand combat and is able to break a person's wrist in a snap.

But, she mostly uses her flexibility to win a fight. She is very deadly when she is set on killing or harming someone in a way that they will be crippled for life. But, seeing her struggling to hold her handstand is troubling. She falls forward and opens her eyes and slaps the ground in anger. She is in a funk and needs to get out of it.

"Mimi, do you want to talk I said softly to get her attention."

She looks up from the ground and looks towards me. I look in her eyes to gauge what she is feeling in this moment. Naomi tries to hide her emotions, but I can see the emotions that are switching through many emotions, but one is clear as day that never strays away.

She was feeling sad and rejected. She clears the emotions from her eyes, as she gets herself together. I pat the spot on the bed in front of me.

I waited for her to get up and move to sit down in front of me. We stared at each other until someone would break the silence between us. I wanted her to speak so she can let out her frustration and the anger that is probably built inside her.

So, I stared at her until she breaks from the pressure my eyes and snaps, not wanting to cry and look weak. She starts to twitch and looks nervous. The emotions that are shown go by quickly until it has settled to one emotion anger and that is what I want.

I smirked and I can see the steam coming out of her ears.

"Uh, I cannot take this anymore, Alex. What do you want? Can you not see that I am busy? Are you blind? You are so frustrating. What?! You have nothing to say to me. Okay, then I will say something. Why did you have to attract the one group guys that have bitches for girlfriends and are jackasses?
