Chapter 22

Chapter 22:

It has been a month and a half since I stayed with the Lupei family. I went back to school after two days of my dream. I had to drive with Hunter and his friends every day back to school.

I honestly was able to ignore Hunter's presence now and it became easier to not notice he is there.

Okay, that is partly a lie. It still aches to be near and not show affection, but it is manageable. We do not talk to each other or stay near each other if we do not have to. I even eat lunch outside by myself. I don't talk to anyone.

I sit far away from Naomi and Clemintime. We don't talk to each other and I don't glance at them, but I can feel their stares at me sometimes.

I secluded myself and don't talk to anyone, but Isa. That little girl has wormed her way into my heart and I will do everything in my power to protect her and keep her safe no matter what.

I am sitting in the tree eating lunch now, recalling the dream had. I figured out this town secret and what is happening to me when I woke up from my dream. This town is filled with werewolves and my parents were one.

So, that makes me one as well. I made sure to keep up with my skills and would go to the training room when no one did. That was usually at night.

The bell rang and I had a gym now. I jumped from the tree branch and walked to the locker room to change. I walked and all the girls stared at me. I went to my locker and changed my clothes.

"Oh, if it isn't the whore that thinks just because she lives with my boyfriend, has a chance at him. By throwing herself at him, every chance she gets" Hilandria said with venom on every word she says.

I ignore her and keep on changing.

Once I was done I closed my locker and put a lock on it so no one can open it. I walk by her and enter the gymnasium.

I feel more stares looking at me. I went to the bleachers and sat there with my eyes closed and leaning against the seat behind me.

The light was no longer on my face anymore. I open my eyes to see Hilandria standing in front of in anger. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"You think you can walk away from me when I am talking to you," she said to me with anger lacing her voice.

I just sat there staring at her and not responding to her question. I look around and notice that everyone's attention is on us.

Naomi and Clementime are even staring and dare I say it, they look worried. I rolled my eyes at them and then I turned my head and caught Hunter and his friends staring as well.

I turned back to Hilandria and then leaned my head back and closed my eyes.

"Now you are going to ignore me," she said with malice in her voice.

I just stay quiet and start to listen and I hear the movement of her hand coming to slap me. My eyes are still close and I grab her hand before it made contact with my face.

I opened my eyes and I stare at her with blank eyes. She flinched and tried to grab her hand from mine. I did not let go.

I stood up from my seat and leaned forward until I was close to her face.

"I would not try that again if I were you I said with no emotion in my voice or face.

But I could feel her shaking.

I let her go and she just backs away from me in fear. I looked up at everyone else and they all turned their head from me except Hunter, Nathaniel, Damen, Naomi, and Clementime.
