Chapter 19

Chapter 19:

I walked passed Hunter and waited for him to close the door and lead the way to the dining room. I followed him downstairs and I was getting nervous and suspicious with each step we took. I remember his mother coming and telling him to stop what we are doing and to calm me down. How did she know what was really happening hear, maybe she heard us when she was by our door. I am probably going crazy, but I know that something is happening here and it is starting to piss me off. I picked my head up and composed myself before entering the dining room. Everyone was already seated and turned to stare at me. I found an empty seat, but unfortunately it was next Hunter. I kept my eyes forward and my head held high. I took my seat next to Hunter and waited to see what happens next. Normally, we would pray and then jump into eating. But, I am not in my own house anymore. Once Mr. Lupei dig into his food was when everyone decided to dig into the food. I followed suit and started to eat. I would glance up every once in awhile. I felt awkward, it did not felt like I belong here yet. I do not know any more. But, this problem with Hunter getting close to me and making me lose all sense is driving me crazy and I can not have that. I need to fix this and I will. I will try to keep my hands to myself and if he does try an touch me, I will try to think of something else or put a different emotion into it. I can not use anger because he does something that makes me calm down instantly. I do not know, but I will figure it out.

"So, Alex how are you enjoying your stay so far" Mrs. Lupei asked sincerely. I look up at her to gauge her emotions and what she might be getting at. But, I do not see anything.

"It is okay" I said nonchalantly with my eyes still on hers." I felt like I was being challenged and I did not want to put my head down for some reason. I heard a growl coming from Mr. Lupei, but I kept on staring. Mrs. Lupei started to laugh and I tilted my head to the side in curiosity. 

"You are just splendid and is going to make this place a little bit more enjoyable" Mrs. Lupei said with a proud smug on her face. I looked around the table to see a slight grin on their faces, except on Mr. Lupei. He grunted and continued to eat, until he lifted his head and stared at me. H gave a small smile of reassurance that I did not upset anyone. I went back to my food and continued to eat. They are hiding something and I am going to figure it out. I finish dinner and waited till I could be dismissed. Remember Alex be nice and be aware of the fact that they are different. I sit back in my chair and look up and noticed that everyone is actually done. But, for how long were they done. It looks like for awhile, were they waiting for me.

"Mom, Alex is done now. Can I leave the table" Cristal said annoyed with the fact that she ad to wait.  Well that proves my point that they were sitting there for awhile and had to wait for me to be done. I looked at Cristal for the first time. She was the splitting image of her mother. She has long wavy black hair and light blue  eyes. Her skin color was a tan color. Instead of having a full bang like her mother, she adopted a side bang instead. In my opinion, I would have to say she is gorgeous and she sits there with confidence in herself. She looks at me with judgemental eyes, like she can not stand me being in this room. She starts to glare at me and I glare back. I never back down from a fight and bitch it was not going to be today.

"Sure, you can honey. Just bring your sister with you. We would like to talk to Alexandra and Hunter for a moment" Mrs. Lupei said with a genuine smile. This broke both of our stares, she was smiling at her mom and getting up. She grabbed Isabella with her. I looked at Mrs. Lupei with a surprise look on my face before I could compose myself she turns and smiles at me. I put on a straight face and was waiting for the storm to crash into me. I hear Izzy making a fuss about leaving me. I turned to face Izzy and make big smile on my face.

"Go with your sister, I will see you soon Isa" I said to her with a grin on my face. Izzy still pouts, but I used my eyes to point at her sister and to go with her. She reluctantly takes her and lets her take her somewhere else in the house. Once they were gone, I turned back to the parents who now sit in front of me with a straight face.
