Emily's POV
I come into studio B with Riley and see everyone dancing. Mom lost her keys so we're late.
"Where have you been?" Stephanie asks, doing a plié.
"Mom lost her keys," I say, just copying everyone else.
After we've finished the dance I hear a crowd of chatter coming closer and closer. We peep our head round the door and see some people our age and people A troupe's age. The older ones walk past but the younger ones come in. They're wearing some sort of dark uniform.
"Who are you?" Tiffany asks.
"Elite," a tall girl says.
"Elite what?" Tiffany asks.
"Elite Dance Academy." I have never heard of Elite in my whole life. They seem pretty professional though.
"I'm Amanda," she says." We're here because Elite's competing at Regionals but we though we'd see our future competition."
"So you mean you wanna dance battle?" I ask.
"What else would we want?"
"Oh, it's on." I'm so ready to beat Amanda and her team.
Kate's POV
I asked Elite to come in because I wanted the team to see the competition at Regionals but I did not expect their J troupe to come in.
James's POV
OK so Elite are better than I expected. Literally every single one of them can do a layout and some of them are five! Their turns are perfect and they're completely in sync. These J troupers are probably as good as our A troupers. There is no way The Next Step are going to win Regionals.
OK so this was a really random and short chapter but I couldn't think of anything. Also, I was thinking of the next chapter being six years later(Riley, 12;Emily,13) because nothing else is actually going to happen until then. Let me know what you think: should I carry on like this or skip until something good will actually happen?
