Chapter 2-Solo Auditions

Sorry I haven't updating in a while *cough cough* just under three months(!) I don't really know why I haven't been on it but I just haven't...anyways yeah I'm really bad at endings of anything so hope you enjoy!

Emily's POV

I'm in squeezed with Tiff and Steph and we're really good friends already! I haven't seen Riley since the acro situation but I hope she's OK.
"Isn't that funny Em?" Stephanie asks.
"Sorry what is?" I ask, embarrassed, seeing as we only just met, I want to be friends and I wasn't even listening.
"You know, Riley doing her cartwheel?"
"I know right!" Tiffany says.
"Like Em, can she not even do a one handed cartwheel?!"
"No but seriously, you should see her contemporary!" I say, trying to back up my little sister.
"Look, there she is now!" Stephanie says, pointing behind me. I turn around and she looks really sad.
"Be right back." I then walk over to her and put my arm around her shoulder.
"Don't worry about earlier. I told everyone that you were GREAT at contemporary!"
"Thanks, everyone is really big here, especially them." I look around and see people that look in their teens.
"Are you OK?" one of them comes up and asks Riley." My name is Kate, I'm the dance captain."
"What is that?" Riley asks.
"I make sure we win the dance competitions and that everyone is happy and you don't look too happy."
"I'm just nervous because this is my first day in J-troupe."
"Well there's a contemporary solo dance competition which you might like to enter. How old are you?"
"Six."
"Well, you have to be at least seven, maybe next year."
"My sister's seven she can enter!"
"Well auditions are in B-studio tomorrow." She then walks off.

Riley's POV

I can't believe Emily gets to enter a dance competition and I don't! I guess she is better and older than me so it's fair...for now.

The next day Emily and I arrive in B-studio for the auditions. I'm so excited to see Emily dance! Kate is there and some other tall people I don't know. Everyone auditions apart from me and Chloe.

After the auditions are over Kate goes to the middle.
"Everyone did really well and I'm so proud of you all but the girl representing The Next Step is...Emily!" she says. Emily looks so proud of herself and everyone claps," And the boy is...Eldon!" Everyone claps again. I remember that he was really good at turning. He could do five and I could do one!
"We need to tell Mummy and Daddy!" I exclaim.
"We need to tell Mummy and Daddy!" Stephanie and Tiffany say in a baby voice, mocking me. I glare at them and walk off with Em.
"Oooh," I hear Tiffany say," the baby's got some sass!"
"Don't worry about them Ri," Emily says.

We go outside to be greeted by our parents.
"Mummy! Daddy! I'm competing in the solo dance competition in a month!" Em says.
"Really that's great! Better get practicing!" Dad replies. I can't help but feel the slightest bit of envy. If only I was one year older I could be able to compete.
