OK so right now I'm in a really uncomfortable position typing this because my laptops charging so I can only type with one hand because my left hand it trapped underneath my laptop so I can rest myself so there may be a few typing errors that can't be bothered to change. So on my previous chapter I asked at the end what I should do (like skip a few years) and nobody replied so I just decided to skip in so now Riley is 12 and Emily is 13.

Riley's POV

Today are the auditions for B troupe and Emily is auditioning. Unfortunately, you have to be atleast 13 which is Emily, not me. I am stuck in J troupe, the oldest. Emily, Eldon, James, Stephanie, Tiffany and Giselle are auditioning. Atleast I'm still with Chloe.
"Do you think it's unfair that that we can't audition?" Chloe asks.
"Well, yes, it should be on ability, not age although they had to wait so I guess we do too," I reply. She smiles and I see Stephanie and Tiffany approach. After six years they still seem to pick on me.
"Awwww, baby Riley, too young to audition," Stephanie says in a mocking voice.
"Stephanie, don't be so mean, they're doing Riley a favour, saving her from embarrassing herself because she'd just mess it up," Tiffany says. For a moment there I thought she was going to be nice. Obviously not.

We go to studio A where the auditions are and watch. At the end Kate comes out with a clipboard and everyone sits on the end of their seat(well, they're kind of benches but you know).
"OK so everyone did really well but the dancers in B troupe are, Emily, Stephanie, Tiffany, Giselle, Eldon, Charlie and Beth. B troupe is quite small this year because the previous year everyone was really good so they got into A troupe. I'm quite shocked that James didn't get in. He deserves it, well, more than Stephanie and Tiffany. Atleast now I won't see them as often so they can stop being bullies.
"K Ri, you need to look on the bright side: Emily, Stephanie and Tiffany are out of the way!" Chloe says.
"Just what I was thinking...wait, Emily?"
"Well, your big sister won't be overlooking you and treating you like a baby." I nod in agreement and go back to Studio B. James looks really lonely as Eldon has gone up into B troupe. He didn't really have any other friends which is basically just sad. Chloe, James and I are the only J troupers. This is the smallest J troupe ever! James comes into out conversation when Cathy(studio head) comes in.
"OK, so auditions or J troupe are next week, you three will have to audition too," she says before walking off.
"So that's why it's so small!" James exclaims, obviously trying to be funny. Chloe and I fake a laugh but as we look at each other the fake laugh turns into a real one. He looks at us like we're complete weirdos then laughs it off.

At the break we go into Squeezed as Em comes in and jumps on my shoulders.
"Ow!" I shout.
"Sorry," she says innocently," Anyways, B troupe is much better than J troupe! I'm entering a dance competition, well, everyone is but how exciting is that! Like mini Regionals! In fact, Ever since we lost Nationals The Next Step haven't gone to any of that sort of stuff again have they? So what's up in J troupe?!" Jeez, she talks a lot.
"Well, auditions are next week so it won't just be three people!" I say, trying my best to sound amused.

Emily's POV

I think I may have said too much and make Ri feel jealous about not being in B troupe. I should probably fix this by making B troupe sound really bad.
"But, you should be grateful you don't have to be in B troupe, choreography is so hard! I mean, I can't even get it, and if I can't, there's no way you could!" I say, only before I realized what I just said. Now I made her feel like she's a really bad dancer. Just like what Steph and Tiff said. "Uuuuh," I say," I should probably go, B troupe rehearsal!" I then leave and hope she wasn't feeling what I thought she was.

Riley's POV

I guess Tiffany and Stephanie are right that I'm rubbish, if Emily says so then I am.
"Riley, Riley, RILEY!" Chloe says, snapping me out of thoughts.
"Uuuh, yes?" I ask.
"Rehearsal!" she says laughing. I laugh too and follow her to B studio. When we get there we see James picking up his bags and leaving.
"Where are you going, shouldn't you be rehearsing for the audition or do you wanna get kicked out of studio?" Chloe asks.
"I have somewhere to be," he says, starting to leave.
"So are you not fully committed to studio?" she asks.
"I am, I have a date with Amanda, the tall sassy girl for Elite that we met like ten thousand years ago. Yeah her." Without another word he leaves.
"Oooh la la," I say, laughing. She laughs too as we start stretching. After we've stretched we start practising our dances. Chloe's is ballet and mine is contemporary, out favourite styles.

After we've finished our dances James comes back.
"So how was your date?" Chloe asks, giggling slightly.
"Perfect. We kissed, like usual and yeah," he says. I must admit. I do feel kinda jealous. He is quite cute but...I don't like him. Do I?
