Emily's POV
I'm reluctant to leave the house to go to studio; I have to leave Riley behind. It's weird to leave Riley behind and I really don't want to. But I'm not going to let my future of dance behind just because my sister has failed.
"Ri," I day, going up to her," just remember: there's always next year."
"K but its different when you're not dancing at all!" she snaps.
"Why can't you just join another dance place?"
" 'cause Mom don't let me!"
"I'm just trying to help!"
"Well it's not working!" I groan, walking off.
Riley's POV
I slump back on the sofa, finishing if my homework. I then hear my phone ping. Chloe.
-hey ri now J r only rehearsing on tues Thurs and sat.
Me-wait so u don't have rehearsal?
Chloe-its sun
Me-k soz that was obvious um home alone wanna come
Chloe-sure we can have a girls day cks James on date
Me-ooh la la! LOL cya soon
Chloe-k see u in a minute
I turn my phone off, going back to this boring homework...
Soon enough I hear a knock on the door and I go to answer it and I see Chloe.
"Hey," I say, hugging her.
"Hey, how come you're home alone?" She asks.
"My dad's on business trip in England and my mums at work, coming back at ten."
"When's em coming back?"
"3."
"K why don't we go to the mall?"
"I'd love to!" We then set off to the mall. Maybe being out if studio isn't such a bad thing after all.
Emily's POV
It's break time and today we've been tutored by A troupe. Ever since Mate became studio head and Cathy stepped down studio had been way less fair. I mean Kate knows what Riley can do, why did she have to kick her out?
"Kate!" I call as she walks past.
"You OK em?" She asks.
"Yeah, I was just asking why Riley cant be in studio?"
"Look, she really badly messed up her audition an..."
"But you know what she can do!"
"Emily..."
"You don't have to get her back but you do need to promise my something."
"What's that?"
"If anyone drops out of J you need to replace them with Ri." I give her a very serious look.
"Fine. You're very decisive, I can see you being a good dance captain one day." I just flick my hair and walk off. I can't wait until I tell Riley the news.
Riley's POV
I've just come out of the nail salon as we head into Forever 21(I don't really know what shops they have in Canada so...) I get some clothes for school and so does Chloe. Chloe and o don't go to the same school but unfortunately for me, the only people from studio that go to the same school as me are Em, Stephanie and Tiffany. I don't really see them that often because they're in the year above although they spend any time possible to bully me.
"What do you think of this?" Chloe asks, stepping out of the changing room. She's wearing her black leggings and her purple strap top she already had on and a pink pullover cardigan that's kind of see through.
"OMG I love it!" I exclaim and the whole shops seems to go quiet and look at us. Maybe too loud Ri. I laugh it off, blushing a little as she goes back into the changing room.
Emily's POV
I get back home from studio and twist the keys in the lock.
"Riley!" I call. There's no answer. I look in all the rooms and she's not there. I get my phone out and call her.
"Hey ri where are you?"
"Oh soz I forgot to tell you I'm out shopping with Chloe."
"K tell me next time."
"I will I will."
"When are you coming back."
"An hour maybe."
"K." I then hang up. That's when I remember the news for her. She's going to be so excited!
~~~An hour later~~~
Riley's POV
"Bye see you...Tuesday maybe," Chloe shouts across the street
"Bye!" I shout. It's disappointing that k now won't be able to see her everyday. I come into the house and see Em with a huge smile on her face.
"Guess what Kate said!" She squeals.
"What?" I question, slightly confused.
"If anyone drops out J you're in!"
"Really how did you convince her? K stupid question you're Emily." She laughs as I go up into my room. I jump onto my bed as I hear my phone ping. It's a text, not from a contact, from a random number. I unlock my phone and go on the text.
