Riley's POV
I'm in Studio B, stretching, kind of weirded out of how Chloe isn't here.
"Hey Riley, do you know where Chloe is?" I look and see that it's James.
"No, have you?" I ask.
"No, she's not normally late. Anyways, on the subject of Chloe she was talking to me the other day." Uh. Oh. I hope she hasn't told him what I think she has.
"Oh uhhhhh...what were you talking about?" I ask, an obvious hesitation in my voice.
"Oh, the auditions tomorrow, nothing fancy," she says. Thank GOODNESS. Survived that one. But wait-the auditions are tomorrow?!
"Are those the J troupe auditions?" I ask.
"Yeah, I've been perfecting my solo all week, how's your coming along?"
"Damn, haven't started. I'm going to be kicked out of studio."
"Well, I could he-" He's cut off by Emily running in and saying," Ri, we need a sister talk." I follow her, kind of worried.
"Are you OK Em?" I ask.
"Yeah, I was actually just wishing you luck for the auditions tomorrow."
"That's it?"
"Yeah, I guess I was just annoying you. Anyways, I gotta go so I'll see you later." She then walks off. She can be so annoying sometimes.OK, random interruption of the chapter, right now I'm on my bed, typing this next to @Koalacheese_TNS and we're both typing our stories together. #sistergoals
I have decided to ignore James, I need to let these feelings go. If I just ignore him for a month, which is only twelve days of seeing him, there will be no more feelings and we can just be friends. I breath in as I walk into Studio B and see James there. Ignore him Riley, ignore him.
"Hey, anyways, as I was saying, would you like any help with the solo?" he asks.
"Uuuhhh, yes," I say, only before realising that this is definitely not what I had in mind for ignoring James.
"Great! Well, I actually don't do contemporary," he says.
"Oh well it doesn't matter if you don't want to help I think I can do this on my own," I suggest, pretty much just trying to avoid him.
"No-" he's cut off by Eldon: "James bro, come on!" He mouths sorry then runs off. Phew.~~~THE NEXT DAY~~~
Still Riley's POV
Yesterday I worked on my solo and its definitely not perfect. I come into squeezed when I see Stephanie an Tiffany come in. Oh no.
"Hey Riley when's your audition?" Stephanie asks. I look at at my watch.
"About an hour, yeah u should probably go-" I say.
"Anyways, well we just wanted to wish you luck cos Em told us that you had no practise," Tiffany says.
"Why would you want to wish me luck?" I ask, knowing that they're trying to wind me up.
"Just, you're so bad, you really need it, you will probably just look at everyone else and realise that they're better than you, then completely mess up," Tiffany continues.
"Well thanks," I day sarcastically, walking off. I bet they're just jealous because I'm way better than them from when they were my age. OK Riley, that's not actually true your just-why am I saying these things? I push my thoughts away as it come into the studio and start warming up.We're near the end of the auditions now and I haven't bn yet. I can't stop thinking about what Stephanie and Tiffany said. Everyone's really good, maybe they are right.
"OK Chloe, you're up," Kate says, smiling at Chloe. She looks a little nervous but not too nervous. As she dances I must admit: I'm not exactly paying attention. All I can think about is what Stephanie and Tiffany said. I know it's not true but-or is it.
"And last but not least Riley!" Kate beams. This routine is nowhere near perfection but I need to get this. As he music starts I push my thoughts away and start dancing the best I can with this imperfect routine, as if I'm the only person in this room. About half way through the dance I notice everyone else and they're not looking to impressed. Then I remember the words Stephanie and Tiffany said. I can't stop thinking about them. I go to do my turning sequence but then I get too disgraced from the harmful words and I fall over. Everyone laughs. Chloe mouths "carry on" so I try my best but I can't. Everyone's laughing, I can hear Stephanie and Tiffany's voice ringing in my head. Its too much. I run out of the room, crying. I'm never going to be able to be a good dancer.Sorry if there are any mistakes because I wrote the majority of this on my phone. Please comment telling me what you think of the chapter lengths. :)
