Chapter 8 {The Dixie Fairy}

Phoenix's POV

As we existed the ice castle I had a weird feeling someone or something was watching us. But I didn't worry about it. I climbed a large hill only to find a huge forest, "Diggoo looka, yesa!" Says Harvie and he jumped off my head. "No, Harvie wait!" I say as I run down the hill to follow Harvie. He stops in front of this magical looking tree. It had little furniture and food, clothing, and weapons. "Hello?" I say, no answer. "Help! Meeee!!!!" What in the world? Out of nowhere a tiny human like creature, that had wings, crashes in a small bush. "Ugh! I can NEVER get that right!" I look at the amazing creature in awe and ask, "Are you alright?" She looks up and says, I'm fine, but here comes trouble.." then a bunch of others like her come out of hiding and fly towards her. "Dixie! You idiot! You could've gotten us all killed!" "You are a mistake!" "No one likes you!" "Do something right for once!" How could they say that to her! I know I shouldn't but I just had to say something. "Hey!! That's enough! How would you like it if you were called those things!" One looks at me and says, "But I'm not Dixie! And do you know how many rules she's broken this past year?! SEVENTEEN!"
"That doesn't mean that you put her down about it! Give her discipline, not depression! My mom always said to me, if you don't learn one way, you have to learn another way. If she doesn't learn that way, teach her another way. Now if you excuse us, we have to be going!" I put Harvie on top of my head and walk away like a boss.

"Wait!" Says the fairy named Dixie, "I'm Dixie, what's your name?" I stop and look at her and say, "My name is Phoenix, and this is Harvie." "Harvie Harvie Harvie!" Says Harvie. She laughs and says, "Where are you going?" I facepalm and say, "To find a boy, A wise tree named Wilbur said he was on this side of the forest." She frowns and says, "He is, in the dark world, with scavengers and beast like creatures! It's TOO dangerous over there so I'll have to come with you, for protection." I bust out laughing and say, "Pardon me, but how are you supposed to protect me if you're the size of a stick?!" She puffs up her chest and says, "With pixie dust, duh! Now come on it's this way!" Oh boy.

She guides me to this window like thing and goes over to turn it on. "Ummmm..Dixie...what is this?" I ask clearly confused, "It's a portal to the dark side." She says activating it. "After you." She says directing me to go first. I step through and see a whole new world.
"Is it always dark over here?" She laughs and says, "You do realize it's night time right? And no it's not always dark over here that's just name describing the creatures. Also we should find a place to sleep, some where high, scavengers can't climb." I nod and Dixie flies up to a tree while Harvie and I climb up. "Night Harvie, night Dixie." I say falling asleep. "Night." "Uggaht!" SO cute!
