Chap. 15 {The 2nd Realm: Mythical Castle}

Phoenix POV

"Phoenix! Are you okay? What happened?"

"I'm fine Dixie where's Lucas?"

"Outside the tunnel looking for you? What happened in there?"

"Nothing important..."

"IS, is that the key!"

Says Dixie, pointing to the large metal key in my arms.

I nod and Harvie jumps into Dixie's arms. She laughs and leads me to Lucas.

"Phoenix! What the HECK! You had me sick!"

"Sorry! I thought the whole purpose for us entering the tunnel was to find this."

I lift up the key toward Lucas and he gasps in shock..

"Come on let's find something to carry it!"

We follow Lucas through the gravel and dirty ground of the realm and finally find a large wagon. Big enough to carry a scavenger!

"Come on! The next realm isn't far at all!"

I knew I couldn't tell Lucas about the deal I had made. But I didn't want to keep it from him too. I came to a conclusion that, if we find the keys in time I would tell him. If not, well, there goes my first relationship.

I shook my thoughts and followed Dixie and Lucas.

"So uh..you were looking for me?"
"Why wouldn't I be looking for you Phoenix?"

"Ooh.....no reason I.....uh just thought...never mind."

"Hey, Lucas?"

"Yeah?"

"Where are you from? Like you know, where did you come from before you come here?"

"I'm from England. I know, I know I sound American. But I've been here so long I've adapted to the way that everyone speaks. How about you?"

"California."

"Oh. Do have any family back home?"

"Yeah. My dad, sister and, 'Stepmom'"

Lucas furrowed his eyebrows,

"Why'd you say it like that?"

"She's not my mom. Not my real mom. My biological mom died in a dominant battle when I was 8."

He frowns,

"Ooh. Phoenix, I didn't know."

"It's okay! It happened a long time ago. I'm over it now anyway."

"You know Phoenix, even though she's your stepmom, she's still your mom."

"Who cares. She doesn't love me! I'm rotten to her."

"Maybe it's because you haven't gotten over your mother's death yet. Your brain has, but your heart is still in the past. Look, take it from someone who knows what they're talking about. It's okay to let go of the past, it never leaves you're memory. But you can't fight the future. Even if the future isn't something you want."

I nod at his advice,

"Thanks. That's really good advice."

He smirks,

"I know."

"Whatever!"

"We're here!"

Dixie shuts on the portal and we all step through.

"Whoa! What is this place?"

"Mythical Castle! Beautiful isn't?!"

"Gorgeous!"

I look at the beautiful Crystal white castle in awe. But soon come to the realization that Lucas was staring at me.

"Ooh uh....come on Phoenix your uh...probably hungry."

I blushed and followed Lucas to a glittering forest.

Jane's POV

"In here!"

Mic had taken us underground into a studio.

"This is where it all happened.."

It was definitely ancient.

Going back to my original question.

"So how do we get there?"

"If I can open up a portal realm, I should be to lead you to Zelena right away!"

I smile and Mic opens up a book and says,

"You guys, might want to step back a little bit."

Sinzer and I nod and he continues.

"Doghø :ií :ùhyj adcabra! Take us to Zelena!!!!"

The lights flicked off and blue magic filled the the tunnel. Sinzer and i's mouths were open wide.

"Bye Lucy! We'll be gone for a while! Well, are you guys coming?"

We both nod and head through the portal.

My eyes nearly popped out their sockets! It was underground and it had a sky, trees, birds, everything!

There was no doubt that we weren't in Zelena! Now, it's time to find Phoenix...
