Chapter 5 {An Underground World}

"I can't think right now Sam, I'm just gonna sit in the car and think about it Chapter 5 {An Underground World}
okay?" Says Phoenix, she walked to her car when the ground started shaking. Everyone inside started screaming and that's when I knew what it was. "It's an earthquake! Phoenix get out of there!" I say urging her to come here. But, she just stands there shaking, the ground started cracking, and the next thing I know the ground caves in and she's falling straight through it! Oh My Gawd! "PHOENIX!" I have to call her parents! "OMG Sam what happened where's Phoenix!" Says Olivia and she and everyone else comes out of the house, "I don't exactly know! But we need to call her parents and the police! Now!!" "I got it Sam!" Says Emily as she pulls out her phone. I step closer to get a better look but the ground shakes once more and then closes back up! OH MY GAWD HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!! I hope Phoenix is okay...

Phoenix's POV

I woke up to nature sounds, I take a look around me and I'm surrounded by dark green jungle vines. Am I in a jungle? I help myself up to take a look around. I am in a jungle! But how? I fell 30 stories deep shouldn't I be dead and underground? Wait a minute! That article my friend Winter posted, maybe I'm inside some kind of underworld that they explained was underground. I search through the jungle to see if any one else was here. I find a peculiar looking bush with some beautiful looking flowers. I reach in to grab one, but the flower itself smacks me by the hand? What? "What the HECK!" It smacks me again and this time it hurts! "Ouch! Okay sorry!" I say trying to get on it's good side. It smiles at me and coughs up a watt of pollen in my face. Then I'm sneezing everywhere and I almost end up in a ditch. I stop myself and look at my surroundings. I see beautiful winter glistening mountains up ahead. I start to walk to them,
completely forgetting about the ditch and fall in.

I help myself up and dust myself off, and I find a strange looking tree, it looked completely different from all the others. It looked like someone had carved a REALLY big nose on it and a mouth a too eyes. Maybe there is someone here! I step closer to the tree and reach my hand out to touch it. But soon as I do it wakes up. "I just can't catch a break!" I say as I try to climb out of the ditch. "Hey you there, why did you step on my trunks?" It says, clearly a male. "I'm sorry, I just don't know where I am! I was trying to see if someone carved you but now I can see I'm alone.." I say as tears run down my face.
"Hey come here." He says and I come closer. "What is your name?" I wipe my eyes and say, "My name is Phoenix."
He laughs and says, "Well Phoenix My name is Mr Wilbur, and I happen to see everything on this here world, see there's a boy who lives here, he came years ago, he's been trying to look for a way out for years. But he needs a partner in able to do that, if you can find him you both can go home."

I'm shocked, first he was rude, now he's so nice. "OMG thank you so much Mr-" he stops me and says, "Please, call me Wilbur," I smile at him and say, "Wilbur, Thank you SO much. How can I ever repay you?" He laughs and says, "Phoenix, you already did. No one has stopped and talked to me for years and I really appreciate it, thank you." I smile and say, "You're welcome, Wilbur." He smiles back and says, "Okay listen carefully, in order to find that boy, you have to cross Alima Mountain, Get through Genoa City and, Make it through the ice castle." I try my best to remember his directions and say, "Thank you so much, I better hurry on then, Bye Wilbur!" He waves his branch at me and says, "Bye Phoenix, and be safe! It's a dangerous world out there!"

If y'all were wondering, The boy's name is Lucas and y'all should meet him at Chapter eight. But Phoenix has a few more people to meet before then ;)
