Chap. 16 {2nd Realm: Meet Prince Benjamin}

Phoenix POV

"Oh look! An Apple tree!"

Lucas laughs at my attempt to grab the Apple off the tree. Truth is, I'm short. Not even Zelena can fix that.

"Do you need help?" He smirks, ear to ear.

"No, I do not!" I exclaim, reaching on the tip of my toes.

I try to grab the Apple once more. But to no avail.

I sigh and Lucas chuckles. He simply stands tall and picks the Apple.

I roll my eyes and take the Apple from him, earning another smirk from Dixie as well.

"Is that were we'll find the next key?"
I take a bite to of my Apple.

"I'm not sure. But somehow I think I've been here before. I don't know how though. I've never been father than my tree house."

"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" I started walking but Lucas grabs my arm and pulls me towards him. I drop my Apple from his actions.

"Are you just stupid? There could be people!"

"So? How is that bad?"

"People, who aren't human...?"

I facepalm and sigh.

"Then how are we supposed to find the 2nd key?"

"We sneak in."

I released myself from his grasp and whisper, "Are you crazy?"

"Well you're stupid, so..."

I groan and fold my arms.

"Phoenix, it's the only way in. Do you want to go home, or not?"

I, once again, sigh in irritation.

"Fine, but if we get caught I'm blaming it on you!"

He nods and pulls my waist towards the castle. Dixie flies behind low.

After a good 30 minutes, we finally reach the back of the castle.

"Shhh! Be quiet! We gotta do this fast! We go in and out! Got it?" Lucas whispered,

Dixie and I nod.

"Dixie, you stay outside and keep on the lookout. Phoenix you're with me."

Dixie puffs her chest and nods, and flies to the top of the castle with Harvie.

I followed Lucas into the castle.
It took us a while to get in.

First, we had to get through the gate. Then, we had to get through the Security. Who knew mythical creatures could be high tech! And finally, we had to get through the village people.

Now we reached the castle.

It was DEFINITELY bigger than my house. Seriously, it was as big as a two football stadiums!

"Come on, Phoenix! We have to hurry! Remember?"

I nod and quit falling behind.

I followed Lucas down a HUGE hallway. But somehow it seemed like we were going in circles?

"Lucas, are we lost?"

"No! I know exactly where we're going!"

"Really? Because you said that you haven't been anywhere outside you're tree house!"

Lucas frowns.

"I can't believe this we're lost!"

"Shhhh! Phoenix!"

"Hey! You there!"

I REALLY need to work on my inside voice.

There was nowhere to run they had us cornered.

My face was covered with a cloth and I was instructed to walk beside the guards. I couldn't tell if Lucas was by my side or not. And that's what scared me.

The cloth was finally removed from my face and a very good looking man standed in front of me.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"I'm-"

I was cut off from my sentence as the guards removed the cloth from Lucas's face.

The guards stand directly behind us and the man smirks.

"Well if it isn't, Lucas!"

Lucas grits his teeth.

"Benjamin.."

"I see you still remember my name."

"I'm Phoenix! And Lucas and I were just leaving."

He turns toward me and smiles.

"What's the hurry, stay a while. My treat for you."

I couldn't doubt that he wasn't hot.
He had Blonde hair and electric blue eyes. His jawline was perfectly placed and his smile was genuine. But he wasn't human.

"Only if Lucas can stay too!"

He twitches but signals his guards to drop their weapons.

"Stay as long as you like!"
He smiles before leaving us in the middle of the castle.

Lucas turns and glares at me.

What did I do?....

Jane's POV

"Come on! We don't have much time!"

Mic drags us though the dreadful forest. I don't know where we are. And I don't like it one bit!

"Going somewhere, MicKenzie?"

We all stop dead in our tracks only to find a woman dressed in black darkness. She had red blood hair, long blue nails, green piercing eyes, and And a tall frightening appearance.

"Tursuna!"

"Where's Phoenix!"

"I thought you knew!"
She smirks. Disgusting!

"Where is she?"
I spoke confidently.

"I'll tell you what, I'll make you a deal, if you can find Phoenix before nightfall I'll take pity on you and decrease my magic. If you do not, she dies!"

I gulp and and step back.

"Also might I add, if you do not except, she still dies! So do we have a deal?"

I sigh, "Deal!"

Mic and Sinzer look me like I'm insane!

"Good choice! Don't break your oath!"
She giggles and disappears.

"What did you just do!"

"I honestly don't know..."
