In the car we pass by scenic roads, with tons of trees and bushes. I wonder where he's taking me. We drive into a driveway with a broken sign and I can't read what it says. We reach the parking lot and he parks the car. He climbs out of the jeep and he runs to my door, to open it. I climb out and grab my bag, when I get out, the breeze blows my hair in my face. I push it back into messy bun and look back at Jason.
"What is this?" I ask him, the sign is broken so I can't look it up on my phone.
"Come here," he grabs my hand and starts running as I'm right behind him. We run into the woods behind the parking lot and he finally slows down when we get to a giant concrete wall filled with graffiti. This entire wall is covered with people trying to make their mark on the world.
"This is incredible," Jason looks at me and smiles.
"Hold on, I forgot something," He turns around and starts sprinting back towards the car. I look back to the wall and take note on every single. People nicknames and feelings, I feel astonished at all the colors covering each other. Jason is back and he stops by a bench to catch his breath. He slides the backpack that he brought back from the jeep on his back. Jason grabs my hand and looks at me.
"I know a place where nobody's hit before," he take the other hand not holding mine and points to go behind the wall.
"Are we going, to, a, you know," I point to the wall.
"Yeah, have you ever, you know," he points the wall, "before?"
"No, have you?" I ask him
"Yeah, half this stuff is my work. I express myself through this, I don't know why though, it kind of just comes to me," I look back at the wall and see different figures on it, this was him? "Come on, I'll show you how," he starts running again with me holding his hand tight. We keep running and I see and small creak with a small walking bridge over it. We start to slow down to a walk, and we reach a small concrete barrier. Jason lets go of my hand and sets his backpack on the ground. I put my bag right next to his. He pulls out four spray paint cans. One black, one teal, another coral, and the last was lavender.
"Do you like these colors," he holds them up and he drops one. I run over to grab it, and I hold it in my hand. He laughs, and stands up.
"Yeah, they work perfect together," Now I'm smiling and I walk to him and reach for his hand. We are holding each other again and we both go walk to where the barrier is and sit in the grass around it. He lets go of my hand once again to grab the spray cans. He hands the teal one to me so I can shake it, he takes the coral one and shakes it as well.
"What do you want to write?" he asks me.
"I'm not sure what I should write?"Am I supposed to write my name or a logo?
"Oh, I've got it," He gestures me to hand him the teal, so I give the can. He pops off the cap and starts writing bubble letters on the barrier. Right now I can't read what it says but I'm sure it'll make sense in the end. He is finally done using the teal and he take the black one and starts shaking it. Once he is done, he starts spraying an outline around the letters. I can read now that it says Rachel. He hands me the black spray paint and puts his hand over it. He guides my hands along the now vandalized barrier. Soon we have completed writing my name, it look pretty good.
"Now you write something by yourself," He hands me the coral paint, and I take off. I'm going to write Jason. I mean he wrote my name, it's the least I can do. Soon I am done writing the blob letters that I messed up pretty bad, but I can fix that with the black outline. Jason shakes the black and hands it to me.
"Would you mind helping me with this again, it's harder to do?" I turn to ask Jason.
"Certainly," For the second time he guides my hand again. At one point he lets go to see if I can do it on my own, but right away, being me, I messed up. There is a large line at the end of the end. Jason chuckles behind me and I follow with him.
"Oops,"I shrug my shoulders. I sit back right next to Jason on the green grass and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.
"Nice, job Rach."
"Thanks Jase."
"Ha Ha Ha, really funny," He are both laughing and I set my head on his shoulders. Out of my bag, I hear the song Cake By The Ocean and immediately go grab it because it's Sophia's ringtone. I answer the call and hear Sophia's terrified voice.
"Come to my house ASAP, there is emergency-" I am so shocked that I hang up the phone on her and stuff all the spray paint and yank Jason's hand to run back to the car with me.
