The Ground Is My New Best Friend

"Sorry Rachel, I'll meet up with you in English," Jason apologies. I see him walk away with the twins. To me that seemed like the shortest lunch ever. I think the school did that on purpose just to embarrass me. I grab the granola bar I bought and shove it into my pocket. Since I didn't eat, I was going to be hungry later.

My next was my only class with Sophia & Jason. English. I was so looking forwards to this class. Mr. Kruser always had a way of teaching the right way, entertaining. As I'm walk towards the classroom, I spot Jason walk to it also.
"Rachel, I've been meaning to ask you," I've been waiting for this my whole life. I kind of have a crush on him.
"Yes?" I try to say politely
"Did we have any homework last night?" Gosh dang it. I thought he was going to ask me out. It was too good to be true.
"No, I don't think that we did. I mean there could have been, but I forgot, " he laughs.
"Oh, ok, thanks though."
We both walk into the classroom. He walk slightly in front of me, and i seem to notice for the first time, Jason's hair. It's, a, very---

"Rachel, are you ok?" Jason's face is slowly appear. My heart starts to race, could this be it. Our moment.
I need to stand up, everyone's scared for me. I see Jason offer his hand to me I grab it and struggle my way up.
"Rachel, are you ok, we thought you had a heart attack?" His voice was so smooth. He actually cared about me. I look around and everyone from class was looking at me. It must of been very unusual seeing someone faint walking into class.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but-"
"RACHEL!" Sophia's shrek overpowers anything you could ever think of.
"I heard from the Jacklyn who got text from her boyfriend who got a text from her cousin that you fell and didn't wake up walking into class." As she was speaking she was checking my pulse and panting down my skinny jeans. Out of nowhere, I see Mischa and Snickers appear and they start checking me as well. Snickers looks at me in sheer panic and finally wraps her arms around me. She is warm and it calms me down. Sophia stands straight takes a deep breath and puts her hand on her hips.
"I taught them how to hug." She has finally calmed down as well.
"Thank you." I manage to get out.
"Rachel, why don't I take you to the nurse's office?" I hear Jason's voice again, I've never seen this sign of Jason.
"That would be great." He starts walking out and I follow him as we walk to the nurse's office. I catch up to him and walk next to him. I didn't dare to notice the broken white tile on the floor and I trip and fall on the ground. Jason offers his hand again, and I grab it and pull myself up. As I stand and brush myself off, Jason's puts his arm around my shoulder.
"So you don't fall again." I know he's all mine now.
