Chapter 26

"Yea yea" I said..."Yea" i nodded "i love you too...bye" i hug up my phone laying in my bed "ok" Oliver said "i missed you" he mumbled, "i miss you too" i said, I was in the hospital bed because i have to stay for observation...i don't have much time left



"Oliver..." i said softly, he shook his head "I'm not going home" he mumbled into my hand while he kissed it, I snatch it away and coughed into my elbow, he looked at me with sad eyes, I closed mine "Oliver don't do that" i sighed "June" he said, i shook my head "go home Oliver...its been 2 weeks since graduation...you got a tour to set up for" i groaned, he shook his head "no June im not leaving" he stated standing up, I sighed "Oliver" i said rolling over to my side to face the other way "you need to sleep, eat, do something that doesnt involve me" i said closing my eyes



"I cant do that...your my whole life June" he said laying down beside me, he wrapped his arm around my waist, I sighed "Oliver....I'll be gone soon...you need to go" my voice cracked at the end, his grip tightened "no im not moving on" he said pulling me closer, i could feel his breath fan against my neck



I intertwined our fingers "Oliver I love you with all my heart....but ill be gone soon" i said burying my face into my pillow, I slowly turned around to face him, he was starring at me intensely "The doctors said that...you'll slip into a coma any time soon...your cancer is different from your grandfathers...i just don't get it" he said frustrated, i kissed him lightly on the lips "I love you" i said, he pulled me closer "I love you" he said kissing me, i kissed back



"But i have hope" he said pressing his forehead to mine "they said you might not wake up..." he said closing his eyes "Might is different from wont" he sighed out "and i have hope that you will wake up..." he continued "June?" he asked



"Hmm" i snuggled closer "can you promise me you'll fight" he said tucking my head under his chin "promise you wont leave me...promise you'll stay...promise you'll fight to not leave...promise" he said, I tensed "Oliver...i don't know..i-If i can do that...Oliver" i sighed "just promise me" he begged, i nodded "I promise" i sighed, he nodded "I love you" he said, "i love you" he repeated

"June we've tested you and concluded that we don't know when your gonna slip into a coma...but we know it's gonna be soon" Dr. Phil said, Oliver groaned "why cant you just save her" he demanded standing up, the Dr. Phil sighed "Oliver...i know this is hard for you" he said rubbing his temples "i know how you feel I-" Oliver cut him off "You know how i feel...you know how i feel" Oliver scoffed "do you really think you know how i feel about losing somebody else i love...how it feels to lose my girlfriend" he said running a hand through his hair



"I lose people everyday Oliver" Dr. Phil said "but i did....i did lose someone i love" he said starring at me "I lost my wife, i watched her die in front of me...i was doing surgery on her....but she had lost to much blood and" he looked down wiping his eyes "and then the line went flat...dead" he said



He cleared his throat, "well i have another patient" he said walking out, i sighed and closed my eyes "Oliver you didn't have to freak out on him" i croaked, "im sorry" Oliver sighed taking my hand and kissing it over and over again



"So...when's your tour?" I asked "5 months, i need to right some songs, they need to set up my stuff, then im set, all that in 5 months" he said, I nodded "thats great, who are you opening for?" I asked, He shrugged "I dont know, Tyler didnt tell me yet" he rolled his eyes, i coughed "maybe they havent chosen yet" i said
