Chapter 27

***Oliver POV***

It painful to see June like this, I have to stay by her side, I need to.

"She's sleeping but go on ahead" The nurse gave me a sad smile, I hate what I see in all these nurses eyes...Pity, as if they know she's not gonna wake up...I know for a fact she will wake up...she'll wake up for the people she loves...she'll wake up for me.

I know I know I sound selfish, but I've never loved anyone more than I love June. 

I sat beside her bed side waiting for her to awake. I held her hand tightly, hoping she'll wake up...She may not. "June" I whispered, she didn't budge "Bunny munchkin" I made up a name, her lips twitched as she tried not to smile "Miss. Pumpkin" I said poking her side, she smiled, turned to face me "Oliver" she said quietly "You didn't stay home" she frowned, "No" I said gripping her hand "why?" she asked, "I'm not leaving" I stated, she sighed "I know' she mumbled

She looked at me "lets play a game" she said sitting up, I nodded "Okay...21 questions" she smiled, I nodded again "whats your favorite color?" she asked, I smiled "green" I said starring into her eyes, she blushed and smiled "Whats your favorite flower?" I asked, she smiled and shrugged "Roses" she smiled "It means 'I love you' " she said starring at me, I smiled and nodded, she thought for a bit and then smiled sadly, like something was breaking her heart, she looked tired, worn down, she was breathing unsteadily

"will you sing me a song?" she asked, I chuckled "anything for you" I smiled

I laid next her as she laid in my arms,

The dawn is breaking

A light shining through

You're barely waking

And I'm tangled up in you

I sang softly

Im Open, your closed

Where I follow, you'll go

I worry I wont see your face 

Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes

Even the wrong words seem to rhyme

Out of the doubts that fill my mind 

I somehow find

You make a first impression

I've found I'm scared to know, I'm always on your mind

Even the stars refuse to shine

Out of the back you fall in time

Dont stop here

I've lost my place

I noticed she had fallen asleep, but I kept singing

I'm close behind

Even the best fall down sometimes 

Even the wrong words seem to ryhme

Out of the doubts that fill my mind

You finally find, you and I collide

She had fallen fast asleep, While she was asleep, I decide to go to the store and buy her roses

When I get back, everyone's there with tears in their eyes, I stop as they stare "She's in her coma"  Mrs. Smith cried into her husbands shoulder, I froze and stared at the life less body in front of me She knew, she knew she was gonna slip...that's why she wanted me to sing for her, wanted me to think everything was fine, that nothing was wrong 

I set the roses next her and take her hand sitting in the seat, some pats my back, I look over and its Kacey with tears in her eyes "we're still here" she says as if June's gone forever, but she's not, I still hear her heart beating, I still see her breathing, I know she'll wake up
