Chapter 24

"But Tyler" i whined trying to get the remote from him "shortie" he stuck out his tongue as i tried, i huffed out, "whatever Tyler you just lost some points for gaining my friendship" i said turning around and sitting on my bed, he pouted, but grinned "yea but you still love me" he said, i stared at him

"i don't love you" i said "i mean i love you...maybe possibly as a friend" i said taking out my suit case "its just that the 2 years thing" i mumbled, he became silent the whole room was tense, i was hopping somebody could save us...and somebody did...but that someone was Oliver, he stared at us, he looked from Tyler to me, i shifted uncomfortably, the tension in the room got ten times worse, i shifted my gaze away from Oliver and looked down at my suitcase and took out my phone, i promised i would call Sam when i got here but i've been busy with Tyler, Oliver and the others

I sighed out, he's gonna be so mad, i turned my phone on and a bunch of notifications were on my phone, Sam, Mom and Dad

i shook my head and checked the messages, and phone calls, and voice mails, Oliver sat down on the couch far away from Tyler, it was quiet, i called Sam 

"JUNE" he yelled "i've been calling you forever and you haven't picked up at all" he stated, i stayed quiet "June" he said, i sighed "hey Sam...i've just been busy is all..." i trailed, he sighed from the other line "Kayla and me are doing great by the way" i knew he was smiling, i smiled and nodded my head "that's...great Sam...I'm happy for you...i cant wait to see you at your..." i cleared my throat "wedding" i said, he sighed "June" he said i shook my head "no no Sam I'm fine...how's Uncles wedding?" i asked "fine, mom's been helping Mona...and Dad's been helping Jake" he said, i nodded "how are they doing?" i asked looking down trying to hide the tears

"they've been...fine" he sighed, i nodded "yea" i sighed out "i figured...is they there right now?" i asked looking over to Oliver and Tyler who were watching my every move, "no, Mom's helping Mona with the dress and Jake and Dad are having a night out brothers night out" he said, i nodded "i'll call you back...you know when I'm alone" i said looking at Oliver and Tyler, they're heads whipped in the other direction, i chuckled "love you Sam" i said sadly, "Love you too June...forever and always" he said voice cracking, i blinked the tears away, he would always tell me that when we were kids, he would protect me from anything and say he loved me...forever and always "forever and always...haven't heard that in a while" i said, he sighed "forever and always sis" he said, i know he's trying to keep strong, i shook my head "Bye Sam...keep Kayla happy ok" i smiled, he chuckled "no problem" he said, i nodded "Bye see you in a bit" i hung up

I sighed out "do you guys mind" i smiled, they shifted and stood up "sorry" Oliver said walking towards me and kissing my forehead, my heart fluttered out my chest, i mean does he know what he does to me, i stepped back "we're leaving today" i said, he nodded "i know" he said

We finally got home after a couple agonizing hours, i felt like my head was gonna burst literally, i burst into my house so did Oliver, he was with me Sam was sitting on the couch watching some T.V. "Sam" i said, he turned his head and gave me a sad smile, "June..." he turned his head to Oliver and frowned "i need to talk to you" he said more seriously, i hesitated but nodded

We went up to my room "so" i sighed setting my stuff on the bed "one month" he said, i froze, and turned slowly "one month" i said slowly, he nodded, my lips trembled, and tears filled my eyes, he sighed and held out his arms, i had no hesitation but to jump into them and ball my eye's out "that's not enough time" i cried, he sighed "i know i know, do you know how hard it is on me....on us" he said, i nodded "i know" i said "you have to tell them" he said, i nodded "I'm gonna tell them" i said "it's time" i said 

I blew out and went downstairs, Oliver was standing there waiting for me, i stopped in my tracks, he spotted me and gave me a toothy grin, god i love you, of coarse i didn't have the guts to say it to him...only think it

He gave me a big bear hug okay okay i can do this i repeated in my mind "Oliver" i mumbled into his chest "hmm" he smiled, there was a big pang to my chest he already lost Stella...now he's losing me, i sighed, "I'm just really happy" i said, he smiled "me too" he said, "not for long" i mumbled "what" he asked, i shook my head "nothing" i said "let's go on a special date" i said, he raised an eye brow "you mean the date you were gonna plan" he said, i nodded "ready for another road trip" i asked, "um sure" he said, i smiled "lets go" i said

"A hospital" he asked, i nodded "yup" i said grabbing his hand and walked in taking in the smell, i haven't been in this hospital in a long time i went up to the front desk "June...gosh you've grown so much" Margie said, i smiled "it's been long...I'm here for my grandfather" i said, she nodded "he's where he's always been" she said, i nodded she looked to Oliver "you should feel special, only somebody special can see their granddad, he's a wise man" she said, i shook my head "I'm serious they never let anybody else see him but family, i mean you must be re-" i cut her off "ok he get's it Margie" i said blushing, she smiled "my daughter just went to your town...she has schizophrenia, her name is Taylor" she said, "yea yea i've seen her in th-...around" i smiled

I turned to Oliver "well lets go meet Granddad" i said grabbing his hand and ran to my granddad's room, i went through the doors, My granddad was looking out the window, my eyes lit up, it was like i was a little kid again "Papi" i said he turned his head and smiled "June" he said, i squeezed Oliver's hand, we went next to his bed "granddad this is Oliver" i said, he smiled "he's treating you good" he asked, i nodded "yes" i said, he smiled, he was weak, more weak than i last saw him, he could barely move

I took his hand sitting down on the other side, he starred at Oliver with a big grin he turned to me "nice man, sweet boy" he said, i laughed and nodded "yes" i said he was breathing heavily, "Oliver...can we talk for a little bit" Oliver nodded and went out, i looked at Granddad really serious "Granddad...i have to tell you something" i said, he nodded "i um...i have" tears falling down my cheeks "i um have leukemia" i said, it went silent, all you could hear were our heavy breathing

I figured out he had fallen into a deep sleep, "weaker and weaker" i quietly, i stood out and went out To Oliver "he's sleeping...Um lets just go out to lunch" i said grabbing his hand and started walking really slowly, he removed my his hand from mine and wrapped his arm around my waist, i smiled "i love you" i mumbled he stiffened "what?" he asked, i shook my head "nothing" i said, he stopped and turned me to face him "what did you say" he asked slowly, i starred in his blue green eyes "um" i said looking down

"Say it again" he breathed, i wrapped my arms around his waist "I love you" i said, his grip tightened and he buried his face into my neck "I love you too" he whispered in my ear, i swear my heart stopped beating, a big smile spread on my face, "I love you" i repeated, he leaned back to look at me, there was such lust in his eyes, he leaned down and kissed me softly with much passion, i kissed back...Kissing in the middle of the hall way in a hospital...interesting
