Chapter 10

I woke up to the sound my alarm clock, or I think it was my alarm. It didn't really sound like my alarm clock.

Wake Up June!

It was repeating over and over and over again! I got annoyed and I hit whatever it was making that sound.

"Ow" Sam grunted stumbling back, I smiled "that's what you get for trying to wake me up..." I groggily looked at the clock and groaned.

"4 in the morning Sam, really?" I hissed, he was still on the ground rubbing his head, I couldn't help but laugh at him.

"Not funny" he groaned getting up, he was still in his PJ's, a plain white t-shirt and plaid pajama pants. I sighed "what do you want at this time? I could have been sleeping for 3 more hours" I groaned sitting up.

"Well I wanted to have a brother and sister bonding time" he said, I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Brother and sister bonding time?" I asked standing up from my bed, he stood up next to me "yup, is there a problem?" he asked putting his hands on his hips.

I rolled my eyes "look, it's not like I don't want to have brother and sister bonding time, i do, but if this is about...college. I told you, I won't tell mom and dad" I said thoughtfully. I walked downstairs to the fridge, and grabbed some orange juice.

He grabbed the orange juice carton from my hand "it's not about that, I just want to hang with my little sis is all" he said smiling as he put back the carton.

"Let's make some pancakes, for mom and dad before they wake up" he said lightheartedly.

I nodded my head not asking. We took out the ingredients and whipped up a batch of chocolate chip pancakes. "Done" Sam said, we looked around the kitchen and it was a little messy.

We had flour all over us as we looked at each other we laughed. We had also cooked, bacon and eggs. We set up the table waiting for mom and dad to come.

I looked at the clock, it was 4:55, we took off our aprons and put them on hangers. It took us only a couple minutes to clean the kitchen, with two people cleaning can go by quick.

Mom and dad came down surprised at what they saw "what's all this for?" mom gasped like it was a miracle that me and Sam cooked them breakfast... it's not that rare. "And what do you want?" dad chuckled sitting down.

Sam looked at me and I bit my lip "well it's your anniversary" Sam said. Then I realized it was their anniversary.

I nodded "we wanted to celebrate" I added. We sat at the table like a peaceful family talking about school, work, and other stuff that peaceful families talk about.

"Well we're off to work, take care" mom smiled kissing mine and Sam's cheeks "don't get into any trouble" dad said looking at Sam, I smiled as Sam raised an eyebrow "what?!"

Dad hugged me and patted Sam's back, we smiled "I'll be watching him, don't worry" I told dad before waving him off.

They left and I closed the door behind me. I looked at the clock and it was 5:50 "still have time to spare" I said.

"I'm going to take a shower" Then I ran upstairs and took my shower

"June Hurry up you've been in there forever" Sam complained banging on the bathroom door. I grabbed my robe and put it on, I opened the door "there" I smiled.

He rolled his eyes while going into the bathroom closing the door behind him.

I went to my room and I had dried my hair, picked out my outfit.
