"Table for four!" I say to the lady at the counter of Dillinger's. Why was I here you ask? I was being forced to come here with Abby, Jacob and Ryan for supper.
We follow the lady and sit down at a booth, with Ryan and I on one side, and Jacob and Abby on the other.
She hands out our menus and leaves.
"Sooooo...." I say trying to start s conversation. "How are the two of you?" I say looking at Abby then to Jacob.
"Thinks have been great!" Jacob says with his Swedish accent as he looks at Abby. I smile and see Ryan looking at me through the corner of my eye.
I try not to make eye contact with him, so Abby doesn't ask about the two of us. But of course..... She did.
"And how are the two of you?" She says wiggling her eyebrows. I nearly choked on my own spit.
"We aren't a..... We don't..." Ryan and I say at the same time. I get a little bit embarrassed, but I don't know why. I guess I still wasn't over the fact that my favourite hockey player is now one of my favourite players?
"Are you guys sure about that?" Jacob says smirking at the two of us.
"Uh.... yes?" I say raising an eyebrow at him. "Why would you think otherwise?" I ask him putting two of my hands on the table as I fold them.
"Because....." He said looking at Abby and grinning. I was really confused as to why though.
"Because why?" Ryan says kicking into the conversation.
"We heard you two the other night." Abby pipes up. My eyes widen, and I swear I probably looked like a blowfish or something. My face was really flustered, and I felt like I was going to throw up.
"Wh- what do you uhm mean?" I say trying to calm myself down a little bit.
"You know what we mean." Jacob says smirking at us.
"No I actually don't." I say crossing my arms and then looking at Abby who was already smirking at me.
"Ryan... Please... Fuc-" Jacob starts to say. Until I kick him in the leg that is. Abby couldn't help but to laugh at his mimicking, but I wasn't going to kick her, I didn't want to break her leg, even though I do most of the time to be honest.
"Jesus Christ." Jacob says in pain. I smile and high five Ryan.
"Okay but still.." Abby says. "Why didn't you tell me that you two fucked?!" She says putting her elbows on the table, as she put her chin in her hands.
"Abby!" I whisper-shout giving her a death stare. "Shut the fuck up! We're in public!" I say looking around at all of the tables. Luckily no one was looking at us.
"Okay okay, sorry!" She says putting her hands up in the air. "Butttttttt still! I'm you best friend! We could have compared or something!" She says slapping my wrist.
I look at her in complete shock and try not to laugh. I look over at Jacob who was looking at her like she had five million heads, and then look at Ryan who was also trying not to laugh.
"Abigail! What the fuck!" I whisper, still keeping in my laughs.
"Okay maybe not compare! But still!" She says rolling her eyes at me. "Was he any good?!"
I look at my best friend again, still in shock, just shaking my head at her. "I refuse to answer that question." I say sitting back and folding my arms.
Just then, the waitress comes over.
"Well..... May I start you off with some drinks?" She asks very quickly, like she heard our entire conversation. I try not to laugh because I could see that she was really tense.
We order our drinks, and she quickly walks back to the kitchen. As soon as she was out of sight, we all burst out into laugher.
"Oh my god...." Ryan says in between laughs.
"She definitely heard us...." Jacob says as he laughs harder.
We all try to calm down when she brings out our drinks, until she leaves again.
We all start to laugh again, and I try to take a sip of my water to calm down.
Ryan taps my shoulder as I have water in my mouth. I look over at him, and he was mimicking the waitress' face when she brought out our drinks.
I couldn't help it. I spit the water out all over his face and start to laugh even harder.
"I would say sorry....." I say calming down. "But I'm really not." I say as I start to laugh even harder. It brings tears to my eyes which hasn't happened in a long time.
Abby and Jacob were now bursting out into laughter, and I think everyone around us thought we were high. It was worth it though.
"You're ridiculous." Ryan says laughing, as he takes a napkin and gets all of the water off of his face,
"It's okay, you still love me," I say as I lean on his shoulder.
"Ew...." He says as he pushes me off. I give him the puppy dog eyes and he starts to smile. "Okay fine." He says as I lean back down on him. He puts his arm around me and I lick his arm.
"What the fuck are you doing Maddie?" He asks me laughing. I could feel the vibration of his laughs and it made me laugh.
"I'm being Maggie, duh!" I say like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Wait who's Maggie?" Abby asks me.
"Oh! My dog!" I say smiling at her. I forgot to tell her earlier.
"Awwwwwww he got you a dog?! Goals!!" She says as she looks up at Jacob. "That's something to remember." She says smirking at him as they link arms.
"Oh, and Abby?" I say looking over at my best friend.
"Yeah Mads?" She says smiling at me as she takes a sip of her drink.
"The answer is yes." I say with smirking.
"Wait what?" She says with a confused look plastered on her face.
"You asked me if he was any good...." I continue to say as I look up at Ryan how was looking down at me with a smirk on his face. And not just a smirk. A very HOT smirk may I add.
     "And the answer is yes."
