I find myself surrounded at a table with a bunch of drunks. I have no idea where Abby is, and I just wanted to get home. I wasnt intoxicated, but I wasn't 100% sober either.
"Would you like another?" A guy that looked like he was in his mid 30s asked me. Well, not really asked. More like slurred. I was never a drinker, and I didn't really plan on drinking much tonight.
"Uhm I'll pass. I have to go find my friend. Bye!" I say as I get up out of the chair, and fast walk to the bathroom.
I was hoping I'd find Abby in there, but of course I didn't. I roll my eyes and fix my hair, as I walk out of the bathroom again. I took out my phone and tried to call Abby but it went straight to voicemail. I start to get annoyed and impatient and make my way to the door. I've looked everywhere for her, and there's no sign of her. Anywhere. I walk through the crowd of people, getting some alcohol spilled on my along the way, until I finally get out of the crowd.
I go to turn the corner and bump into someone. A guy.
"I-I'm so, I'm so sorry." I try to get out of my mouth, without stuttering. Unfortunately that didn't work out for me.
"It's no problem!" He says to me as he laughs a little bit. I still haven't looked at him, because my face was turning red, and I always hated being the centre of attention. But I knew. I knew who it was.
I stand up straight and try to get my balance again. I was now standing upright, and was a couple of inches shorter than him. I mean, I wasn't really comparing, that's not what I was focused on. What I was focused on, is that my favourite hockey player is standing right in front of me.
It's a good thing that I brought an extra change of clothes with me. Because of he seen me with his jersey on, he would probably think I was a weirdo.
"Do you want a drink?" He asks me as I get snapped out of my little 'day dream' I guess you could call it. He has a big smile on his face, which I find the absolute cutest. I may or may not have died a little bit.
"Oh ugh, yeah, sure, I mean, I guess? Sure yeah!" I finally manage to get out. He lets out a little laugh and gestures for me to follow him.
I still couldn't believe that I'm actually talking to my favourite hockey player. I mean, he has handed me a couple of pucks before, but he wouldn't remember me from then? But I'm glad it happened, I'll take it.

After a couple more drinks with Ryan, and just a few laughs, my head starts to hurt a little bit. This always happens to me every time I drink. I get horrible migraines and start to feel dizzy, and weak. I think he started to notice that.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asks me putting his hand on my shoulder. I can smell the alcohol in his breath and I can see that his eyes are starting to get droopy. I just nod my head and take another sip. He just brushes it off, and asks for another beer. Or maybe it was wine? I don't know I wasn't paying attention.
My eyes start to get heavy and I feel as if I am going to faint. It was a good thing I was sitting down, because I would have been on the floor right now.
"Weeee should play a game!" He says to me as he chugs down the rest of his drink. I didn't get time to answer him, because he just assumed I wanted to play his little game.
"You have nice eyes." He says staring into my eyes. I raise an eyebrow and just ignore him.
"Okay so what's this game of yours?" I ask him, snapping my fingers to get him to focus.
"Game? Oh yeah yeah yeahhhhhh, I forgot for a second!!! Okay sooooo we each have to ask eachhhh other questions, but they haveeeee to bee yes or noooo! And if we have the same answer, then I would drink! Soooo if I asked youuu a question, and your answer is the same as what mine would beeee, then I would drink! Do you get it?! Okayyyyy good I'll gooooo first!" He says to me turning in his chair to face me.
"Sooo have you uhmmmm, travelled? So I guess what I'm saying is have you been anywhere else besides.... Whenever we are right now?" He asks me, looking really confused as to where we were.
"Yes I have travelled before," I say to him. "I'm not from here."
"Alright well I guess I drink!" He says as he calls a bartender over to get him another drink. "I've been ALLLLLLLL around the world! I've been to... To.... Canada!! And and Australia, Jupiter, France, ANDDD THE MOON!" He tells me, as his eyes widen. Yeah this dude was really drunk.
"Okay so, I don't know, do you like dogs?" I say nervously. I wasn't good with these types of things, I don't know what to ask a hockey player?
He starts to laugh really loud, and screams "YESSS! I love dogsssss, I have one named, I actually can't remember, but he lOVESSSSS CHASING MICEEEEE!" He says to me. I don't know how much he has drank tonight but I didn't think it was THIS much.
"Okay well I guess I'll drink?" I say as I take a tiny sip of my drink. I didn't want to drink too much more, because I knew I would end up regretting it.
"Are youuuu a virginnnnnn?" He asks me. I look at him shocked, and look away for a second. One thing I wouldn't have thought would happen in a million years would be for my role model, to ask ME, if I was a virgin.
"Uhhhhhh... Yes...?" I say, still not making eye contact with him.
"You areee? Woah well I can't drinkkkk, but I'm gonna do it anyway!!!!" He says chugging the rest of his drink. I swear I couldn't keep track anymore.
I hear my phone buzz in my pocket, and take it out to see that Abby is calling. I look over at Ryan who looks like his eyes are about to pop out of his head, or he's going to fall right out of the chair. I then look back to my phone, and put it back in my pocket. I guess Abby is going to have to wait.
