Authors Note: This book is being Rewritten because frankly I wote it when I was 13, and let's just say the grammar, and the wording is not the best. Plus I am going to put a more adult feel to it. Sorry for the inconvenience, nevertheless I hope you like this book! Much love, Mariska98

Faith shifted in her sleep, lingering between being asleep, and waking.. she could feel the brightness of the sun on her face, but fought the erge to get up and close the window curtains. After awile she gave up and agressivly threw the blankets off of her. As she stood she remembered that today would be a special day, and that she should not be so grumpy. Today was new years day. The day to turn the page and start the next chapter in her life. Secretly though, she new she dreaded it. "Another year, so what?" She thought as she examined herself in the mirror.

Her jet black hair hung far past her sholders, and reflected oddly against her light skin. She made a mental note to spend the upcoming year out in the sun more often. She glanced higher up into her own eyes, "brown" She thought. "How ordinary" She knew she had her dad's eyes.

She wished she inherited more of her mother's features. Just then she felt saddened. She hadn't thought of her mother in a little while. She closed her eyes and recalled a memory that took place right in front of that very mirror.
~
Faith as a young girl watched her mother walk up behind her as they both looked into the mirror. Her mother towered over her, and she remembered thinking that all adults were Giants. Her mother's light blonde hair hug over her sholders as she bent down to tie the bow in her polka dotted dress.

"You look so pretty sweetheart"
Her mother had told her warmly, her green eyes full of love.
Faith smiled up at her, "Not as pretty as you mommy."

Her mother took her hand, "We better get going, I bet the birthday girl is waiting for you!" She said joyfully as she led them both downstairs, then out the door.

"There you are" her father said leaning against the car. His dark brown hair had been slicked back. He wore a white shirt, and black suit pants, with his usual black leather jacket. Faith let out a girly giggle, she loved it when her father looked fancy. They all entered the car and started to drive.

Car rides used to be faiths favorite. She remembered looking out the window at a world of wonder, and possibilities.

"We're here" her father says, as he shuts down the car and takes her out of her booster and sets her on the ground. She held on to both her mother, and father's hand as they went inside where the birthday party took place.

Inside they were greeted by countless people most of them faith didnt recognize, instead she ran to Beth, her best childhood friend. "Happy birthday!" She shouted as she pulled Beth into a hug "Your as old as me now!" She said, jumping up and down.

It would've be awhile before the cake would be served so they decided to go to the play room with all of there other friends.

Time passed by quickly as they played, but that soon came to a end when her father came into the room looking frantically around. "Stef?" He called out. "Stefani!!!??"

He looked down at her in a way she had never seen, she knew that nothing would ever be ok again, and it wasn't.
~
She opened her eyes, and wiped a tear away. No matter how much time passed the pain would never go away. The worst part for her was never knowing what happened, where her mother went? If she was taken, Mabye even killed? She didn't know, and nether did her poor father. He never remarried, or even dated again after her mother's disappearance.

"Faith get up your going to be late" She herd a voice from downstairs say. "Speak of the devil," she thought

"Coming" She yelled back as she rushed to throw on her clothes for the day.

She walked downstairs in to the kitchen, there she saw her dad putting on his fencing gear .

"You going to help me in class today Faith?" He said

"You mean like help you teach?" She replied as she poured herself cereal.

"I don't know why you are surprised," he said as he slipped on his White gloves. "You are exceptionally good"

"It's just... " She started, Doubt filled her.

"Faith you'll do just fine trust me" he said.

She shrugged. She wasn't sure how well men would listen to her, she wasn't exactly intimidating.

"Ok so now that I'm hired how much you going to pay me"? She asked, joke lining her voice.

"Hold on who said anything about getting paid" he retorted, the corner of his mouth flashing her a smile.

She opened the fridge to find no milk. She cursed under her breath as she set down her bowl. "he always forgets the milk" She whispered.

"Hey dad," she said, closing the frigerator. "Mind if i run down and go get the milk you forgot to buy again?"

He looks up at her from his seat. Then gives her a sarcastic grin

"Sure, Ill start with the kids group and you can join in when your done ok?"

"Ok" she said as she placed a kiss on his cheek before running out the door.

She walked down the street, and up towards the convenient store.

Suddenly she stopped. A horrible feeling came over her, one that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She didn't feel safe, somehow the felt as if she were in danger. She shook of the thought. That would be insane. "One To many Scary movies for you Faith ." She said to herself with a small laugh.

Just then she felt a ruff nudge on her shoulder, and turned quickly to see the back of a man who just rudely bumped her as he walked by without even apologizing.

"Rude!" She said, not caring if he could here her, or not.

She regretted saying it so loud when he turned around. "Well done faith" She thought.

He cought her gaze, and looked directly into her eyes.

He was wearing black pants a black button up shirt and a black trench coat with black combat boots. he had dark hair and piercing blue eyes, but not just any blue, a very deep blue, but somehow also light. As he starred at her she felt as if he wad looking can into her very soul.

She mentally snapped herself.

It's been over 10 seconds and he still hasn't done anything, let alone take his eyes off of her. "He's nothing but a creep," she told herself, forcing her eyes off to off of him and continued to the store.
