Chapter 22

"Nicklaus let me explain"

I just don't know what to do, he's going to drag me to Clare and Mary to the stake I can't let it happen I have to try to stop him.

"There's no need, you where just getting close to me to kill both me and my dad it almost worked to"

I saw pain flash in his eyes, but he hid it from me.

"You tried and succeeded in getting me to care about you, iv never met a witch more twisted!"

He cares?

"Nicklaus I " .. He cut me off right away

"Faith your going to have to come with me I need to take you to face your judgement at a trail.

Then he continues

"You and your Coven will have to face punishment for what you are, and what you have done."

"Nicklaus if you take me there there going to kill me !" I screamed

"That's not my problem" he said not looking me in the eyes

Then he grabbed my arm, I pulled it away from him and stepped back

" I am not twisted nor evil why can't you see that? And Even if I was wouldn't I have killed you a long time ago? "

He looked at me and ignored what I have just said , stepping closer he grabbed my arm again and I pulled it away again and he said

"Faith stop making this harder then it has to be , don't make me have to force"

Then he lifted his hand to reveal his sword

I stepped back and through the book away from me and then I looked over my shoulder and seen a old sword leaning against the wall. ( thats convenient ) I picked it up quickly and pointed the tip at him

"If you want me your going to have to come and get me" I said with a sarcastic smirk

He walked closer to me and put the end of his sword to mine

"Gladly" he said with a grin

I lunged, all my fathers training rushing back to me, except this time, I wasn't fencing with a balled off safety saber, or covered in white fencing protection gear.

No this was real, this is life or death.

Parry parry, his sword clanked against mine, defending himself quickly , I pulled my sword back and jumped on the table and stood above him looking down at him

"Have you ever thought not all witches are evil"

"That thought never crossed my mind"

he whipped he's sword and swung it at my feet, I jumped off the table quickly but the end of the sword caught my long dress and sliced the vary end of my dress barely Cutting my leg

I looked at him angrily

- does he know how long it takes to make one of those by hand? -

I attack immediately lifting my sword and trying to slash at his chest he ducks and roles out of the way then side steps me and try's for my feet again I jump duck and role right by him just like my dad taught me

"How could you use me like that!"

He spat out, all that anger finally bubbling to the service.

"I didn't use you Nickluas"

I replied, still defending from his blade.

I decided to try and talk some sense into him.

"I'm not nor have I ever been evil, I'm really sorry for what I did to your father today, it was an accident, and I was just protecting my friend."

"You mean that other witch?!"

He questioned.

Parry, thrust.

"What will it take for me to prove that I am not evil, and that I really do care for you?!?"

I screamed in frustration!

"Thats it!!!"

I stuck my sword into the dirt floor, flung myself at him and pulled him into a kiss."

At first he struggled, but I held him there, soon I felt his body relax.

The sword fell out of his hand and landed on the ground with a clank.

Soon I felt him returning the kiss.

His arms found their way around my waist, as he pulled me closer.

I pulled back and caught my breath.

I pressed my forehead against his and closed my eyes.

"I really do care for you, Nicklaus everything iv said, or that you've felt has been real, I swear it!"

He sighed, not saying a word and kissed me again!

Right at that moment I heard a load bang , the sound of glass shattering , I pulled away and seen Nicklaus face full of pain I looked down, his white shirt was covered in red blood I looked out of the broken window and there with a crossbow in his hands was Hugo!
