Kitty could feel her heart thudding in her chest as she watched Vision speak to her. And Wanda ignore him. She was crying silently as she has done it, but she still did it.Kitty was afraid now. How could she tell Steve that, in truth, she didn't think the Fifty Staes Initiative wasn't too bad an idea? He would leave her.
She shook the thought off as she looked back at Steve. He had fallen asleep on the bed and was breathing steadily. His hand was still slightly curved from where she had held his hand while shushing him to sleep.
She had to leave.
The thought struck her mind like a bullet; unexpected and dangerous.
But it was still something to consider.
Kitty wasted no time in acting on it. She slid through the door and ran towards her room on light steps. She snatched a giant beach bag she had bought with Steve and shoved a single outfit inside of it. Then, she opened a drawer and rifled through her belongings.
Most consisted of pictures of her and Michael, recent ones and ones from their childhood. She carefully placed them in a cute photo album that lay under her bed. She had gotten it with Steve when she first got here when he suggested she take up a new hobby.
Well, to hell with that working. Kitty thought with a smile.
Next, she stared at the rest of the pictures. They were all newly taken and printed. She reached a shaky hand towards one and lifted it. It was a picture that someone else, probably Tony to prove his point from before, had taken of her and Steve laughing at a joke.Very vividly, Kitty remembered the joke. It was making fun of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the Presidential Elections. A rogue smile made its way to Kitty's face as she stuck those pictures into the photo album as well.
She wouldn't need food, she thought, because she could probably steal it.
Picking up a pen, she decided she would leave a note. Just in case.
When finished, it said:
Dear Avengers team,
So, I'm sorry that I'm doing this, but it has to be done. I'm just going to apologise for it now.I'm sorry for liking Steve. But it won't matter now I guess. But I have to distance myself from him. I can't bear to go against him with the Fifty States Initiative. I support it. He does not. I don't want to have it tear us apart.
I love you very much though Steve. These past 2 weeks have been amazing with you and I wish I could stay. I want to thank you guys for being so nice to me. Even Wanda, though we never seem to see eye to eye.
Farewell,
Kitty TygerShe took it and lay it carefully where only Steve would think to find it, and crept out of the window.
Her memory box.
(A/N: you guys notice the similarities between Kitty and Wanda's actions and notes etc? ,';) I'm so funny Ü I'll stop talking now.)
