Beck's POV
"Jade?" I bang on the huge iron door.
I have to come and talk to her. I don't want her to assume that we're done because of a stupid little fight. But I'm still a little ticked off. Why can't she trust me in this relationship. Jade needs to believe that when I tell her I only have eyes for her, that I really do only have them for her.
I knock on the door again.
"Jade! Open up!"
No reply. I know she's in there through. Her truck's parked out front.
"Fine," I mumble.
My eyes scan over the whole outside of the house. All I need is an open window or something. I try banging on the door again.
"Jade West! Open this door right now!!"
"Why should I?!" She finally screams back, "So you can break up with me over my stupid self?!"
Wow. That leaves a sting. I know Jade works herself up over little things but I didn't think that she'd automatically assume we were done over a little disagreement.
"Jade! I'm NOT breaking up with you! Seriously open the door!"
"No!"
That's it.
I ram my whole body into the door. Twice.
"Don't break down the door! He'll kick me out!"
Jade's dad has never really tried to have that type of father-daughter relationship with her. He's threatened to kick her out many times.
"Jade! Open up!" I yell and bang on the door again.
She finally swings the door open in my face.
"What the hell do you want?!"
"To talk to you," I reply chilled.
"We'll make it quick," she snaps.
"Jade.... What are you assuming in your head right now?" I ask her.
I know that she hates explaining her emotions. It makes her feel like a baby. I'm trying to work on that so we can have a healthy relationship.
"Urgh."
"Come on Jade."
"Fine. I'm mad because you're not trying to even consider how I feel!" Her voice starts to get louder, "All you ever do is flirt with other girls! You even let them flirt with you! I'm sick of it! There's always a picture of you with someone. Always! Whenever we go to parties, you're hanging out with another girl when I get up to grab something!"
"Jade."
"What?! I'm not just an emotionless freak! I'm really not! You're the only person who really knows me! And this is how you treat me?!"
"Jade."
"And I just... Urgh! I want to stab you and Alexia with scissors! The way you looked at her! The way you kissed her!"
"Jade! We were acting!"
"I know but you made it so real! You never kiss me like that! You never stare at me like that!"
"You think that I don't stare at you?! You think that I don't kiss you with love?! Jade. How many times do I have to say it? I love you."
"No."
Now she's just rubbing salt in the wound.
"Yes! I love you so much!"
"Prove it."
By first instinct, I pick her up and kiss her. Not sweetly, not gently, but with a hard passion. I put her down and pin her to the wall; not breaking the kiss apart.
When Jade and I break apart, gasping for air, she smiles at me.
"I love you."
She smiles bigger.
"I'm sorry. I just...."
"Forget it," I tell her, "I love you, always."
"I love you too."
I kiss her again, gently this time. When we break apart, she asks, "Are we still going to that party at Tori's?"
"Of course."
To explain for you, Jade, the rest of the gang, and I, have been a little bit more crazy. We want to have he best senior year that Hollywood Arts has ever had. That means we've held and gone to a lot of parties. We've also been drinking under age. Although, we drew the line on smoking and drugs. Which I think is good.I kiss Jade quickly on the nose before I run to my convertible.
"Don't forget," I call out over my shoulder.
"Forget what?"
"The short dress!"
That makes her smile and laugh.
"We'll see."
I crank the silent engine on and drive to my RV. I slip on some skinny jeans and a white muscle shirt. The parties are usually hot because of all the people who come.
After I quickly fix my hair and brush my teeth, I tell my parents I'm going out with Jade. Which technically is true.
I drive up to her house and knock on the door. Lightly this time.
The door opens immediately. But it's not Jade, it's her dad.
"What do you want?"
"Jade," I say and give my best smile.
He narrows his eyes.
"Bring her back for 12. I don't care what you do to her."
"I promise I'll keep her safe!"
"I told you I don't care what you do to her!"
"Okay."
"Hey DUMBO! Get down here!"
Like I said, her dad doesn't like her.
"Coming!"
I hear her heels before I see her. But when I do, I suck in a breath. She's stunning.
Jade wears a short black dress and has straightened her hair. She hasn't done that in a while, but I like it.
"Nice hair."
"Thanks," she says with a smile.
"Bye Dad," she says over her shoulder as we walk to the convertible.
"12 sharp! I'm locking all the doors if you're a minute late!"
"'Kay."
"Oh! And use protection."
Jade snaps her head around and yells on her meanest voice, "Shut up!"
I stay quiet until we've driven off the street.
"He thinks we do it every time I come home late," Jade mutters over to me.
"Ignore him. It could be worse."
"What's worse?"
"We could actually be doing IT every single night."
Jade hides her smirk and scoffs instead. We hear the loud music beating as we park on the street. Jade and I walk up hand in hand. I knock on the door as loud as I can.
"Hey Vega!" Jade yells.
Tori answers the door.
"Hey!"
"Where are your parents?" I ask.
"Cuba for a week! Isn't it great?"
"Yep."
Jade smirks and walks straight to the counter where the drinks are laid out. She pours herself a cocktail with tequila and scotch. I walk up to her.
"You're starting that heavy already?"
"You know me. I start heavy and drink lighter. I can't come home completely drunk."
"But you always do."
"What?" She snaps.
"Nothing."
I grab some of the punch that's in the bowl. As I take a drink I think I taste a faint bit of rum. Typical Trina, who is always taking care of beverages because she's legal to drink, she never gets anything virgin.
"Hey Beck and Jadey!"
I immediately turn around like Jade and see Cat.
"Hey."
"How many times have I told you not to call me Jadey!" Jade snaps.
"Sorry."
"What do you have?" Jade asks Cat.
"Punch! It's really good!"
Being Cat, she has no idea when she's drinking. We try to make sure she doesn't drink to much though. You'd hate seeing her drunk. She's ten times more annoying. Unlike Jade, who usually is pretty nice with alcohol in her hand.
"Beck! Hurry up!"
Jade and I make our way to the dance floor, drinks in hand. We dance along to the upbeat song.
The night continues and I don't let my eyes leave Jade. I don't want to make her mad. Plus, she's the absolute prettiest girl.
After, Jade finishes her cocktail and turns to me.
"I can't have another one of those. How much alcohol is in that punch?"
"Not much. Try it."
She takes it from my hands and takes a sip.
"I'll have a couple of those. It shouldn't affect me that much."
She's right, the punch has barely any rum. Or maybe none.
We continue to finish our drinks and dance. It's very weird though. Jade and I aren't even slurring our words. I spot Trina at the bar and walk through the crowd to her; Jade behind me.
"Hey Trina."
"Hey," she slurs so much I barely understand her.
"What's in the punch?"
"J-juiccce."
"No rum?"
"N-n-no."
"Oh."
"Oh," Jade says from behind my back.
I turn around to her.
"Do you want to take a couple tequila shots?"
"Sure."
We grab two shot glasses and fill them up.
"One. Two. Three."
I swig my glass back and slam it on the table. Beating Jade by a couple milliseconds.
"Fuck you," she mutters under her breath. I laugh.
We take a couple more.
"We should probably get you home."
"Ya. And I'm not even drunk! Good job babe!"
We high five and say goodbye to the gang. I take her hand as we walk down the driveway.
"That was fun."
"Ya," she replies. "Thanks for sticking with me."
I smile, "I love you."
She smiles back at me, "I love you too."
I take Jade by the waist and kiss her lips passionately. She responds immediately and moans into my lips when I pin her to the wall.
We break apart at least a minute later, yet again, out of breath.
"Let's get you home," I sigh.
She frowns, "Okay."
I walk her to the convertible and open her door. On the drive home, we make fun of a couple people at the party.
"Did you see Trina?" She teases.
"Ya. When she was giving love bites to that kid that Tori invited from her old school?"
Jade snorts, "He'll probably never go to another party."
I nod my head. "Did you check what time it is?"
"No. I'll check my phone."
She pulls out her phone and turns it on.
"Shit. Shit!"
"What?"
"It's 1 o'clock in the morning!"
"Shit."
She lets out a little sob.
"Are you okay?!" I pull over onto the side of the road.
"I can't handle it anymore. Our problems are just something checked off my list, but my dad! He hates me!" She cries quietly into her hands.
"Babe, it's okay," I hug her into my embrace.
"But I'm locked out! And when my dad says locked out it means I'm not gonna be able to go in until tomorrow after school! I can't sleep on the streets! The girls are partying! Beck!" She cries some more into my chest.
"Hun," that's a new name, I usually call her babe, "You can stay with me in the RV."
"Really?" She looks up at me and I wipe the tears off her face.
"Yes. Why are you being so emotional lately?"
"My.. My dad's been extra hard on me lately."
"That's never bothered you before."
"Ya, I guess I'm letting everything out at you. Sorry."
"Don't worry," I kiss her head and start driving to my RV.
We arrive minutes later.
"I think I have beer in the fridge," I say.
"Nice."
I open the door to the RV and Jade plops onto the couch.
"Here," I toss her a drink and hold onto my own.
We open them and tap them together.
"Cheers to a non drunk night," I say.
"Morning actually."
I laugh and kiss her. That's how that night began.
With a party, a beer, and a couple of passionate kisses.----------
