*New and Improved Version*

I awoke the next dawn rose, and went to gather some woods to start a fire. My stomach grumbled and reminded that I had not eaten anything for two days. On the way back to my camp, I found a troop of mushrooms that were edible after I inspected them. They were going to be my breakfast then. While consuming the roasted mushrooms, I tried to contact my team mates, but was responded by a long line of buzz.

After eating, I picked up my stuff and walked around, holding the radio high in the air to find signal. I climbed a hill and another hill. My energy was wasted for I was doing a big mistake. I was scarcely fathom why the signal bar became less the higher I go. Usually to find signal is climbing a hill or any high surface. But this island was not.

I headed down hill, passed my recent camp and down I went to the bottom of the hill where the signal bar suddenly increased at once. How queer. I looked up and my thoughts of contacting were interrupted by the beauty of nature. Never have I seen such a place.

It was beautiful.

Tranquil.

Scenic.

Breath-taking.

Panoramic.

Picturesque.

With delicate flowers blooming in the beams of nature's light to add more colours other than shades of green that seemed to appear on trees and grass. Animals were everywhere, hunting for food or maybe just doing their jobs. The trees itself were an amazing sight; their roots roamed underground as for branches, they stretched and created a bridge between each other for small animals to cross.

A familiar voice stopped me from daydreaming. Tatum was at the end of the line and muttered something.

"Hello?" I called out to her.

"Huh? Perrie?" Tatum sighed. "Oh God! I thought you were dead."

Knowing Tatum, she sometimes can be a pessimist. We talked a lot like we had not talked to each other since kindergarten. I shared her details of my location and she shared hers. I could not imagine her place but Tatum did say she had passed my area before.

"How'd you survive?" Tatum asked.

"Got lucky I guess. I dived into the waves head-first and somehow I fainted. Because when I opened my eyes this morning, I was in a cave."

I told her that I wanted to search for food and she said that she was doing the same with William, John and Levi. They were all safe and unharmed, and at once my anxiety towards them lessened like an owl that flew off after perching on its master's shoulder. We ended our conversation by hoping to bump into each other soon.

A waterfall was cascading down nearby. I walked to it and a small house came into view. Whilst crossing a stream that the waterfall had made, I discovered the small house was actually a bunker. Next to it was the biggest Fig tree I had ever seen. My eyes discerned something that was too extraordinary to see.

It was a dangling dead body tied to one of the branches.

I squinted and spotted a valuable and a very important weapon stuck to the body. To get it, I have to climb the tree. Only, nothing useful was set to the tree, not even a ladder so I rounded the bunker. I found boxes and stacked them to climb up on the roof of the bunker. I walked across the roof to the tree whilst figuring a way to get to the dead body.

The valuable object was gleaming in the sun. It was a longbow which I could makeshift.

I must get that bow!

Thoughts on world and what was happening drifted from my mind for I was too busy concentrating on getting that fascinating weapon.
