Days passed by and surprisingly David and I became good friends, well, atleast it was better from the way we were before. We talked and laughed around together for a change.
For our surprise their was someone who had entered the camp. I will not be wrong to say that was nothing less than a grant entry. His name was Augustus. He looked really hot and trust me on this , No girl would say that they didn't have crush on him.
Slowly and steady Clare and Augustus became good friends. They hanged out and laughed together. I guess that was the moment when David got a bit insecure until one fine day I witnessed Clare and David ignoring each other.
I was truly disturbed to see both my friends ignore each other and I couldn't take it anymore.
"What's the matter Clare?"
"It's him!"
"Yes! I know it's him, but what happened?"
What she told me shocked me. I was stunned to hear it from her, how could David act so kiddish. I got really upset.
"Hi Janet!" said David
I was so freaking upset that I didn't want to talk to him anymore. But i did.
"What's the matter with you David, you can't just listen to anyone and do whatever they say. Is this the trust you have in your girlfriend?"
"What are you talking about Janet?"
"Oh! right what am I talking about?" I said while I faked a smile
"Come on tell me, What did you hear?"
"Why are you ignoring Clare? Can you explain it to me?"
"Sure, I will explain it to you!"
"NOW!"
"See Janet I needed time to recover myself from the shock. That's the only reason I was ignoring Clare and nothing else" he said
"Explain it to me David" I said firmly
"Ok! you wanna hear it ... fine here it goes. Augustus and I were playing basketball the other morning, it was then when I encountered the truth"
"I'm listening" I confirmed
"So while we were playing, we happened to talk about Clare. As he being her best friend I gave into the talk. While we were doing so, he came up asking me 'David! you and Clare seem to be good friends' I said yes, As you know our relationship is kept a secret and only selective people know about it. Hence he told me that he wanted to gift Clare something as they had started THEIR relationship!
"Wait what...THEIR RELATIONSHIP?"
"Yes you heard it right", he said they were dating.
"But that is not possible, you know that too right?"
"Yes I know, but that was a lot for me to handle"
"Listen, did you talk to her about it?"
"Nope"
"WHAT!!!!, and you're ignoring her? How mean can you be David? You should've at least talked about it. Do you know how sad she is?"
"Yes... I know and i'm sorry about it. I should've talked to her about it first."
"Don't be sorry to me, go and apologize to her."
"She won't listen" he said
"Make her listen to you David"
"I'll try, can you do me a favor?"
"And what's that?"
"Can you please bring her so I can talk?"
"I'll talk to her and will let you know! cool?
"Yes, and thank you so much Janet. This means a lot"
"You're most welcome David, and please make sure to learn to trust her"
"Yes! I will. And i'm sorry once again"
Don't we all at some point of time fall into the trap of what someone else tell us and surprisingly we tend to listen to them rather than to our loved ones? Trust me, this is something everyone falls into. In fact their are two kind of people, one's who tend to trust blindly in place of evident facts and others are the one's who tend to belief the strangers more than their loved one's. In what category do we belong? Is it mandatory to trust someone blindly in love or is it that we must not trust at all? Well I myself find this question difficult. But I think at times situations are such that we don't even think of the outcome and just go with the belief or disbelief, whatsoever.
