Chapter fourteen

"Janet are you there"

I received a text from Carol that evening. I wondered if everything was ok!

"Yes Carol, what happened!"

"Janet, the thing is I met David today and he was asking for your number. I was about to give him then he told me to take your permission first. So should I or not?"

Woah! such a mannered fellow he was. I almost was on cloud 9. In my excitement I texted saying:

"Oh... that's ok. He can have my no."

As soon as I texted so I received a text,

"Hi"

I wasn't sure if it was him so I ignored the text, In exactly 2 mins I received another text.

"Hi it's me David"

I freaked out. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was jumping all over my room, when my mom heard me yell ..

"Janet is everything ok?"

I paused for a moment realizing how loud I was.

"Yes mom I'm fine"

"You sure"

"Yes mom, don't worry"

I wish I could tell mom how happy this one text made me.

"Oh! hey David"

"So ! whats up?"

"Nothing much, was just studying (I lied), you say?"

"Oh! I see, studying huh.. so can you concentration while you're texting me?"

"Sorry what?"

"What I meant was, I know you're concentrating on me so I hope you just don't write my name in your answers!"

Lame it was, but I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"Not really, I'm a multi-tasker you see"

"Oh! yea!!" He said "So, why did you leave early the other day?"

"Actually my mom called up so had to leave"

"I see"

"How did it go anyway?

"I actually left early too, I did try finding you, but you were no where to be seen. So I decided to leave, Are you trying to flirt or something?"

Oh! what on earth did I say, crap Janet you're screwed. I literally cursed myself .

"Amm! if you think so"

Oh! thank god he was normal.

"Hahahah! so it's a yes!"

"Hahahaha!! okay okay you caught me."

As time passed by we came closer and opened up really well. We became really good friends. As days passed by, we exchanged our views about various thing . He continued flirting, and I started fantasizing him- the way he interacted, put his views forward, was absolutely clear about things, etc etc.

His charm made me fall for him. His voice and the way he talked was really influential, he could easily make everyone believe in his words, their wasn't a question or even a tiny little doubt, if we knew that what he says isn't possible he was really good at making people believe his words.

I fell for him unintentionally.

After few months he did admit and confessed his feelings towards me. The way he confessed it was absolutely beautiful but I did tell him about my views and asked for some time and he did agree on it.

"Janet I need to talk" texted Carol

"Yes, tell me"

"Well it's about David"

Of course I knew it was about him. Ever since I have started talking to him, all I hear from them is 'David, David and David', it seemed as if I was his girlfriend already but as it was my first I kind off loved the attention I received. Things were not less than a fairytale, I almost felt as a princess and David did make me fell so. Every tiny thing he did was so caring that I couldn't stop but fall for him. All I wished was for that moment to stop then and there and I would live the moment forever.

I actually started dreaming about him, things were just the way a girl could ever fantasize.

"Yes, tell me about it" I replied

"Ammmmm!! why don't you give him a chance Janet" she continued "it's being two months and I can see that you kinda have started falling for him too, don't you?"

"Carol you know how I am right!!"

"Yes I know"

"So yes, I think I have fallen for him. But what if he turns his back and leave, I don't want to be broken, I'm sure he won't but I just don't know. I watch people break and it upsets me a lot. And moreover if I date someone it has to be eternal and you know about it" I said

"Yes, I know that Janet. But I'm sure he won't break you down."

I somewhat wanted to believe her words, deep within I think I wanted to date him too.

"Yeah, I think you're right"

And I kept my phone aside and started imagining things AGAIN!
