The Untold Story. Part 1

Chapter Eighteen

St. Luke's church had a celebration coming up, so the youth needed few singers to sing along with them. I had received a call from Nicholas and he insisted me to come over for the practice.

I was more than happy to have been invited to be a part of this celebration in church. I was also excited as David would also be a part of this celebration and we could get time to spend.
Since the day we have started dating we have not met, so this was a good occasion where to meet and spend some time in the same place we met first.

As I came to know later, Nicholas was also aware of us being in a relationship and I instantly knew it was David who publicized the news. On one hand he was the one who thought to keep this relationship a secret as for now, but he ended up publicizing. This guy is crazy!

Later in the evening, we all gathered in church. I was really glad that I met all my friends who I thought I would not meet after the camp was over. That moment was beautiful to witness, being amongst the lovelies was some fresh air to breathe in.

Right from the corner of my eyes I saw David, he was staring at me and as I looked at him, he smiled. I couldn't stop myself but to walk towards him and tell him how stupid he was.

"Hi David" I said as I smiled

"Hey love" he replied

"So, how have you been" I asked

"I'm doing great, what about you?"

"Me too. So are you gonna be a part of this celebration right?" I asked hoping he would say yes.

"Well, yes I would be volunteering! How could I not be a part of it when in could see you atleast!"

My faith awakened.

"Oh! is it so ?" I played

He smiled and kept staring at me. I almost felt as if he had his eyes glued on me. I couldn't help but just blush. I wanted to ask him to stop being so obsessed, but well, I guess I like it so.

"Stop it David. It's embarrassing" I said while I turned red. I acted so different that I was almost surprised of myself.

"Come on! Can't I even look at my girlfriend now?" He questioned with a grin

"Shut up you moron, I'm leaving'

"Oh! you're leaving?" He said while he played the puppy face

"Don't you try that on me"

"Try what love" He said while he came closer

"What are you up to?" I asked while I turned into a tomato

"Oh! someone is turning red" he said as he came more closer

I was numb. I had butterflies in my stomach. I just don't know why I didn't move when I could have. My leg were stuck as if they were glued on the floor. I couldn't help but to just stare into his eyes. Those eyes of his were beautiful, deep, brown and big. I couldn't stop myself but to just look at them. I just didn't realize when he came too close to me, he gently bend forward, tuck my hair behind my ears while I could sense his breath and whispered,

"I love you"

Those words seeped into me, I didn't ever feel so in my entire life, that was just to different and magical, for lack of words. I couldn't stop myself, but to lean closer toward him and say,

"I love you too David"

"Hello everyone" Said Nicholas

"Heya" we responded

"So how do you feel, coming together after the camp was over?"

"We feel awesome" Said Carol

"Yea, I saw that coming" Said Nicholas

Everyone laughed.

We practiced well that day and we were free in an hour or so. We were almost going to leave when we saw one of our friend coming down the basement.

As he came down, we couldn't help but notice his eyes were swollen and red, he looked terrible. He was Augustus's best friend. We all stared at him, still hoping that he would simply tell us that the news was a lie.

"Hey all" he said

"Hi"

"How have you all been"

"We are doing great, you say?" Said Carol

"Well, how do you think I would be?" He questioned

By then we were sure that whatever we heard was true and I was devastated.

"Do you want to see pictures of his funeral?"

As I heard those words my soul began to weep. I had nothing to say. I went in the corner and sat down. Tear drops feel off my eye.

Meanwhile Carol was busy looking at his pictures on his phone, I was surprised. This girl right here was really strong.

After some time she came towards me and sat down besides me. What she said then was nothing more than a shock to me. She explained the reason behind his attempt. After hearing it I didn't pity him anymore, the reason was so damn lame and after hearing it I wanted to hit him right there. He chose this over fighting it out?

Reason behind his death :

Augustus had a really bad mood that morning. He was really upset and low. He had no one to talk to and share what he felt. After some time his brother came to him for some help regarding something, he was already upset but still controlled and agreed to help him out. In due time both of them had an argument and Augustus ended up committing suicide for such a pity issue.

As I said earlier, youngsters have lost their tolerance level to one that holds no ground now, I was almost depressed when I heard the news but the reason was really unacceptable. Though I truly understand the mind set he was in was something I can't foresee plus this news comes from a third person which might be an exaggeration. But still, he was capable of lot more. Augustus was the sweetest guy I met and I expected so much more that what came out to be.

All I wish for is that we learn to value the gift of life given to us and to know that we have people around us who care a lot though they may not show. Clare wasn't aware of the news till now, but she already finds herself guilty. She feels that the incident which took place was her fault.

Augustus had started liking Clare and she didn't in return. This was something Clare was upset off. Carol on the other hand had a little fight with him before and she didn't have a chance to talk it out that made her feel devastated.

Life doesn't give us chances, all we want to achieve has to be done in this little world we live in, which has now lost it's importance.
