The Untold Story. Part 1

Chapter Ten

"Hey! did you talk to her?" asked David

"Yes! I did"

"What did Clare say? Is she willing to talk to me again?"

"I'm afraid she doesn't want to"

"Oh! please don't say so, I know it's my fault I should've talked about it." He said sadly. "But I needed time, I wanted to cool down first and then talk to her, I wanted to do so cause I didn't want to put oil to the fuel."( It means to prevent the talk to be increased in such a way that it leads to a point from where things could become worse)

I was simply watching him talk . How concerned he was, he cared for her that's why he didn't go to her before. But on the other hand what he did was also not right, he could've given her a chance to talk and explain, then on top of it believed someone else besides his love.

"That's nice to hear, it's good that you were concerned David but at this moment she is just not ready to listen to you. She is quiet upset and you know how she is, she is really firm on her decisions and doesn't like taking any chances." I said

"Yes I know that"

Soon we had our dance lessons and as usual I wasn't interested in it, so I sat back. On the other hand David was a good dancer and was appreciated too. I saw him teaching the other's the steps of the last lesson before the class started. All I did was to notice him the way he was teaching, as I did so I saw Clare sit in one corner alone. I got really worried and I walked towards her.

"Hey, hi Clare" I said

"Hi Janet" she replied

" So whats up with you?"

"Nothing much, why are you asking so?"

"Naah... actually it's visible on your face that you're worried, so tell me whats bothering you?"

As I expected she was upset due to the David thing.

"Why don't you just go and talk it out?" I said

"And what am I suppose to talk about? Is it gonna be, why did he not come and talk? Or do you trust me or not?Look Janet I know this is a pity issue but if he behaved like this now what am I suppose to expect in the future?

What she said was just right. Why would anyone give a second chance that too in trusting someone? It's big I its own no? When your partner could do so once he/she are bond to repeat themselves.

But I wanted her to appreciate him giving himself time to not hurt her  Hurt her right?

Anyway I was successful in convincing her and she got ready to talk to him at least... I then hurried to him to give him this news.

"What really, she is ready to talk to me?" he said being surprised.

"Yes! she is."

"Oh! thank you so much Janet. I'm really grateful to you "

"No you don't need to be, just remember you don't mess things up"

"Yes I won't I promise"

"Good!" I said and I walked away.

After the classes we were given a little break. I thought this would be the right time for them to talk. I was walking towards Clare as David had asked me to get her. While I was convincing Clare, David came walking towards us holding his ears and apologizing. The act itself was too cute, I don't know about Clare but I fell back, the way he held his ears in public was beautiful. He resembled a little kid.

While he was doing so, I whispered to Clare,"Hey! you must give him a chance, I mean look at him. The way he held his ears is so cute" I said while I teased her.

"Ok! so I should leave you guys alone, please sort things out" I left after saying so.

I was pretty sure that Clare would give David a chance. I know what he did was wrong but I think he can be forgiven. After all he loved and cared a lot for her. I'm sure he wouldn't repeat it again will he?

I then got busy eating my snacks. As I was done I saw David walking towards me. I was ready to hear the good news. I was sure they were normal again and won't be fighting anymore. As he arrived he said nothing and sat beside me, this worried me a lot.

"Hey, how did it go?" I asked as I noticed him

"Yes ! I did talk"

"And????"

"And......."

His silence made me mad

"Tell me David what happened?"

"She broke up"

I was shocked to hear this... Brokeup? How did this come into the picture? No I think he was mistaken.

"WHAT?? ... I think you are mistaken David or I didn't hear you right. You must have heard it wrong. Clare can't break up ..!! "

"No! I'm not mistaken, Clare did say she doesn't want to be in a relationship with me anymore." He said as he broke down.

"Oh! no please don't cry, I'm sure things will be okay and back to normal."

"Nothing is gonna be okay Janet" he said, "It's all over"

This was something I never expected. No, Clare can't do so. She is a girl who does things the way it should be done . She never does anything without thinking. What did they talk about? Was their something else that I wasn't aware of? Was David loyal and did he really care?

Most importantly were they in love? And if it was love, Is it so weak that it could be broken so easily?
