The Untold Story. Part 1

Chapter Thirteen

During the mass they all kept on exchanging glances, I simply ignored them and concentrated in the homily.

The father who was celebrating the mass was one of my favorite. He too was from St.Luke's church and he knew me quite well. He was one with whom I was really open to and friendly.

To be honest the thing I love about him was his voice, it's simply fascinating.
The way he preached, no one could ever get bored. His talks were really interesting, as he always tries to link things up to the present scenario which made it more easy to connect with.

Soon the mass was over and we all gathered outside the hall.
....

"Yes! so tell me, what's the matter?" I asked

"Matter? what matter?" Everyone acted innocent

"Guys, the 'David' matter! remember?"

"David! What about him?" As they said so they started laughing, I couldn't do anything but simply stare at them.

"Oh!! so you don't remember anything, Don't you?" I said

"Noooo... !!"

"Ok fine! when you all are done with your thing let me know I'll listen to it then" I said while I was leaving

"Ok! Ok! we're sorry" They apologized, "So the thing is..."

As they were about to say I heard my class teacher call me,

"Janet?"

"Yes ma'am!"

She gave me some work that had to be done at that very moment. I was so pissed off with my luck, why, why on earth does it have to happen to me? Just when they were about to reveal their so- called secret? Oh!!! ... why me..." I cried.

.......

We headed for our lunch break later in the afternoon, Everyone was excited as it has been a while since we all sat down and had our meals. We all gathered and sat in a huge circle as usual.

The thing that can describe our group the best was the way we act during our meals, we all turn out to be hooligans, we attack each others food like anything. At that very moment no one cared of who gets what, and it didn't even matter if they weren't talking to each other at that point cause all that was important was food. I guess that's what friendship is all about. Isn't it?

So yes once we were done Clare looked up at me and said,

"Janet, sorry we troubled you"

I just don't know what happens to her at times, I almost felt as if she was drunk or something. What was she sorry about... Has She has lost it?

"Are you mad, crazy girl" I said as I hugged her and we laughed.

"So yeah, the thing is David texted me the other day and he confessed that he kinda likes you!!"

My eyes popped up, I couldn't believe my ears. Like was she serious!!, I would simply killed her if this was a joke.

"What are you saying Clare? like me? Me? That's not at all possible"

But she was serious, I wasn't sure how was I suppose to react. For me this was the very first time someone actually confessed and I have never being in a relationship before so I had no clue, for this was all new. Moreover I'm a girl who believes in dating the guy who I practically plan to marry. Yes I was that serious of a thing.

I wasn't in favor of discussing it further so we left the talk there.

I wasn't aware if things will be serious and moreover he being my friends ex it's kinda awkward. It's not even being a month and he confessed his love for me .

Is this all normal. Or was I going to enter my worse nightmare ever.

Things in life took a turn, I had actually started thinking of all the possibilities. That's normal right?

Was David the kind of guy I was actually waiting for? Is he the one who has to come and be a part of my life? Will he be mine? But then, Why did it not seem right? Or was it just because of it being my first?

Have you ever experienced anything as such? Do times like these surprise confessions or they just confuse you? Can you ever be sure of that person?

Questions like these arose in Janet's mind too. She was a girl that made sure she never fell for someone she might have to pay for! But as it is said, things happen the way they are meant to be. You can never define your destiny.
