A few weeks have passed since Kay's birthday dinner drama and she seems to be okay. I asked if she's talked to her sister or her parents about what happened and she said she never wants to talk to her sister again. I can only imagine how she feels. Makes me happy I'm an only child.

I'm sitting in my math class bored scrolling through my Facebook feed. There's nothing of interest going and right before I decide to put my phone down, I get a text.

Chris: (1:42PM) Wassup what you doin?

(1:44PM) Bored in math class. Ready to go take a nap. You?

Chris (1:59PM) At work on lunch. I was thinking if you free we can go out this weekend.

(2:02PM) Sure sounds good. Where are we going?

Chris: (2:07PM) Well since I picked the last time you pick.

(2:10PM) How about we go see a movie?

Chris: (2:14PM) Cool. How bout we go see Barbershop 3?

(2:17PM) Great! I'll find out the time and let you know.

    Chris: (2:19PM) Aight

Glad my time was occupied for a while. Class will be ending in about 5 minutes and I'm ready for this nap.

"Alright class, finish the rest of section 2 for homework. See you all Friday," Professor Michaels said walking to her desk.

I pack up my stuff and make my way across campus to my dorm. When I arrive, I look around and see Kay's not here. I walk over the fridge, get a bottle of water, and go to my usual spot on the couch. I turn the TV on and go through the channels until I come across a rerun of Catfish. I sit and watch the episode unfold as the girl finds out the guy she thinks she's talking to is really someone else who doesn't even have feelings for her.

    "Wow," I shake my head.

The front door opens and in walks Kay.

    "Hey girl," I greet her.

"Hey," she smiles. "What're you up to?"

"Just watching Catfish. I can't believe this is still going on."

"Girl, I say the same thing. If someone can't FaceTime or Skype you should know something's up."

"Right. Technology is too advanced for all that."

"Hey, Tai wants to go to Dave & Buster's this weekend, wanna come?"

"I wish I could, but I've got a date this weekend...you're finally going to find out who the mystery guy is," I blush.

"Finally! I thought you were trying to keep him a secret."

"No secret. I just wasn't trying to get my hopes up and show him off only for things to fall apart."

"I feel you on that. Well, I can't wait to meet him."

I laugh to myself remembering Kay already knows Chris because he and Tai are friends. I pick up my bottle of water and head into my room for a well-needed nap.
