The Light Behind Your Eyes

I love sunset. It's just so beautiful. The purples and pinks and peaches. I especially love sunsets over water. Always have. I remember sitting outside on the beach just to watch the sunset. I am no where near an ocean, but the sunset is still beautiful. Even if it is by a Sonic.

"Are you going to eat your tots," Remy asks, leaning over to grab the tater tots from my hands.

"Don't you dare touch my tots," I snap.

"Sheesh! I won't take your food! If you were a dog, you would have bitten my hand off," Remy exclaims, raising his hands up. I chuckle. Even if he tried to steal my food, Remy is pretty funny. "Your teeth are really white, like stark white."

"Probably because I have been whitening my teeth since I was sixteen," I smirk.

"Damn, doesn't that ruin your teeth," Remy asks.

"Yeah, that is why I have stopped." There was a pause. Then Remy grabbed my face. Not roughly like an attacker, but soft and gentle. Almost like he was trying to find my scars from the kidnapping.

"Your eyes are a lovely shade of green," Remy compliments me, still examining my face.

"Thanks, I guess," I respond questionably.

"No, seriously. Like you are really pretty," Remy smiles.

"Are you hitting on me?"

"Me? No. I was just- let's keep driving." Remy shifts the car into reverse, then drives off into the sunset. Not saying a word until we get to a hotel that we spend the night in.
