||::Ariel's Point of View::||

I was strapped to a iron chair, that had me pinned down completely. I could only move my head, toes, and fingers. I look at Jonathon, who was grinning at me maniacally, "Do you like your seat? I had it specially made, just for you." He winks, "New wolves are always very strong. Most don't even remember their first shift. Nothing, but the pain." He grins at me, "This chair is supposed to keep the new wolf contained in its human form, then we'd unlock it and let you shift. But what happens when you don't unlock it?"

My heart stops at his reasoning, "I stay locked in the chair, and it would break all my bones."

He nods, "That's the human way of looking at it. But if you stay in this chair, it will keep you from changing completely. So you'll be in a half way state. That's when the Ritual will start."

"Why are you doing this?" I force out, completely terrified, "I'm your daughter!"

A hard smack across my face has my body jerking as far as it can to the right, "Shut up! You are NOTHING to me! I'm not your REAL FATHER you stupid girl!"

"What?" I ask, my eyes wide. He shakes his head, the anger clear in his eyes.

"I know you know! Sarah really thought I couldn't tell you were mine? Your Wolf is too damn powerful! I was a Beta in my pack!" He shouts in my face, his spit splattering into my face, and his decay-smelling breath being sucked in through my mouth as I breath, "It was my brother. My twin brother. She fucked him, and produced you. He was an Alpha."

I shake my head, "But weren't you mates?"

Jonathon laughs humorlessly, "When twin wolves are born, they more often than not share a Mate. Joshua was the oldest, so he got the Alpha blood. I got Beta blood. You were supposed to be a Beta." He wraps his thick hands around my small neck, "But you have Alpha blood. YOU AREN'T MINE!" I can feel my face turn red as the oxygen cuts off from my brain.

Jonathon suddenly let's go, breathing out slowly before turning and walking away. "You'll begin your shift tonight." He turns back at me, a crazy grin on his face, "I will enjoy watching you suffer."

Wulf will come get us. My Wolf pipes in, I'm sure of it.

I sigh, With what it looks like is going to happen, I really hope you're right.

-

At first, I just sat there... In that stupid chair, in a room lit by a candle that was flickering out now. I had enough time to think about everything that I'd learned.

If I wasn't Jonathon's daughter, then I was his twin brothers daughter. That must be why he always treated me and my mother like he did. He knew. He knew all along, and Mom probably didn't want to anger him any more by leaving him. Everything was falling into place, I just had one question.

Where was my real father?

I thought the same question over and over again until the candle flickered out, and even then. Soon though, my Wolf yelled out, Ariel-

The pain began.

It started in my head. Like a small migrane. I squinted my eyes and cracked my neck, hoping that would help. But then the pain intensified, but I held my tongue. I knew Jonathon was watching. I wouldn't give him that satisfaction of watching me cry out in pain. So I stayed stone still. The pain travels down to my neck, and I grunt softly. It felt like when you wake up in the morning with a crook in your neck, and you only turn your head half way. I felt my eyes sting from the tears. It travels down to my shoulders. Like being hit in the back by a truck. Travels down to my hips. Like repeatedly banging my hips with sledge hammers. And then to my legs. Like getting them broken over and over again.

I can't take it as it gets stronger, and stronger, and I scream, before blacking out from the pain.

-

"Wake up, bitch." A cold voice says, and my eyes flutter open to see Jonathon staring at me with disdain. He growls, "You just couldn't help yourself, could you?"

"What?" I try to say, but it comes out as a gurgle. What's wrong with my voice? It's only then that I register the dull and very distracting throbbing through out my body. From my head all the way down to the ends of my toes. Everything hurt. I was pretty sure if he accidentally blew one strand of hair around on my head that I'd start crying.

"You just couldn't help Linking that pathetic mate of yours to come and rescue poor defenseless you." Jonathon spats, "You're worthless."

My Wolf growls in the resesses of my mind, Kill him! No one talks about our mate like that!

A growl erupts in my chest, "Shut up."

He glances at me in surprise, before laughing sarcastically, "Control your wolf, whore. You don't have that much courage. Now shut up and lay there."

I look around and realize they must have change my room while I was blacked out. I was laying down in a strange room that had several candles lit. A handsome man with black hair and clear blue eyes was sitting in a chair next to me. He was looking me directly in my eyes.

"Jonathon," Jonathon says, "Prepare her." And he leaves.

I turn to the man, "Your name is Jonathon?"

He nods, "And you're Ariel, I already know." He gets up and starts to put some kind of white goo on my forehead, "You're about my daughters age."

"You have a daughter?" I ask, my voice still distorted.

He sighs, "I did. Her mother took her away from me after I lost my temper. I think you would like Striker."

"Striker?" I ask, "What an unusual name."

He nods, "We're magical, Ariel. Everything about us is unusual." His eyes glitter with an emotion I can't place, "Things that you wouldn't even begin to understand are comprehended by a young child. The reason is we use one-hundred percent of our brains. It's a complex sort of process that's difficult to understand. But, despite all that, we're reletively nice people."

"Then why are you doing this?" I ask. "Why are you going to murder me?"

Jonathon stops what he's doing for a moment, before looking me directly in the eyes, "Because I know what it's like to get what you love most taken away from you."

"He didn't and doesn't love my mother!" I shout hoarsely, "He never did!"

Jonathon looks at me for a moment, "That impossible, and not true."

"You don't believe me?! For Gods' sake man, he raped my mother! And then he raped me. Over and over again. Until he bashed her head into the floor boards, and killed her." I struggle against the restraints, "He left me in that room with her for nearly three days while her body rotted infront of me. He's sick!" Tears stream down my cheeks, and my Wolf snarls put of anger. I feel my teeth sharpen and elongate, a snarl cuts it's way through my chest, "HE DOESN'T LOVE US!" With every bit of strength I had left, I ripped through the chains, and pounced on the man.

Jonathon cries out when my teeth make contact with his arm, and I rip the skin off. I feel my body start to shift, and I cry out in pain. But my adrenalin, my fear, and my need to get out was too much, and the pain became unnoticeable as I shifted into a wolf. After a few agonizing seconds, I stand infront of the man in my wolf form. I didn't have time to register the look of fear and shock on his face, or wonder what color I was, my Wolf took control, and I fell into a peaceful slumber in the back of my mind.

I deleted a lot of this chapter and kind of plopped it into the next one. It was all chopped up and everything, so I hope this format makes it easier for you to read it.

How did you guys like it? At this point, I'm almost done with rewriting all of the chapters! I don't know exactly why I keep writing these little end note things, when I'm publishing the entire book by itself. But hey, if you guys actually read these things, you guys totally rock!
