One year after the dissaperence of her best friends Hannah and Beth Shay's boyfriend Josh invites her and the rest of their friends back to his family's lodge at Blackwood Pines. Only for a pschyo to be stalking them and monsters to be running aroun...
"It just....it felt like I was being held down by fear. No matter how badly I wanted to move and help him I couldn't.",Shay tells the officer.
"So you were willing to risk your life to try and help him, even though he pulled this prank on all of you?",the officer probes.
"Prank or no prank,together or not I still loved him. I mean yeah sure I was pissed say him but we were together for 3 years. I was so sure he was my person.",Shay answers.
"Were you aware of all of his menial issues?",the officer questions.
"To an extent I guess. I mean I knew he was sick, and that he took meds to help him. I wasn't fully aware of his actual condition though. I'd only ever seen him off his meds one time although it was only for a few hours,he had just forgotten that day,but he took them right away when I asked if he had. Here though he'd been off them for a few weeks to formulate this. I knew something was off,but I had no idea it was this bad. He was having hallucinations of his sisters telling them can't tell him what to do. It was awful seeing him like that.",Shay reveals.
"One more thing. Where exactly did this thing take him Shay?",the officer asks. "Down to the mines. It's where the Wendigos live. They're these flesh eating monsters that were chasing us all night. Trust me I know how crazy this sounds,but if you don't believe me then head down to the mines and see for yourself.",Shay states.
After the interviews the group is driven to the hospital by the police.
Everyone is silent on the way there. When they arrive they are all treated a nurse comes in to Shay's room and tells her that all of her friends are okay.
Shortly after the nurse leaves,Mike comes in.
"Hey.",he says.
"Hey.",she replies with a weak smile.

"How you feeling?",he asks.
"I've been better.",she jokes,she was in extreme pain from getting a cast on her foot and stitches where the Wendigo slashes were.
"You?",she asks.
He was really the only one besides Ashley that could walk properly since he didn't hurt anything. I've been better too,but I got some great news.",Mike says.
"What? You get to keep Wolfie?",Shay asks.
"Yes,but Jess and Matt are alive! They've been here before we were since they escaped the mine.",Mike informs.
Shay was ecstatic that her friends made it,but a little disappointed. Call her selfish but she really did think about being with Mike. While Jess was one of her best friends,Mike was the one who kept her safe through the whole night. He was there when she needed him and it really brought out some hidden feelings in her,that she thought left when she started dating Josh.
