In the Great Hall of Varg Drake's Stronghold. It is where he set up on his throne and another chair. Thor; God of Thunder, had provided the seat for Lyra Luhr; as the said God stood between the two chairs. Thor wanted to make sure that Varg would respect Lyra and not do anything before the wedding day. There was also another person within the Great Hall; Varg's Grandfather, Carraig. He was there to help with the negotiations in order for the marriage to take place.
Thor had started speaking; as his thunderous voice echoed in the large building. "I want my daughter to be married within these walls. I also want prevent any other ruler from knowing that she is here and that she is unmarried!" He seemed to have a glare within his eyes that had a fire within, if no one listened to him, he may cause some damage.
"I also want your outer gates to be locked, until the day after the wedding. To ensure the safety and to safeguard that no other, but you will marry Lyra!"
The woman in question; felt a little uneasy as Thor and the other men spoke, for she was not used to things like this. Sure she has heard people talking about other cultures around the world doing this. But she had no idea that it would have happened to her.
Carraig smiled; just like any grandfather would, "That can be done. But what will we tell those that wish to visit my Grandson?"
With an air of indifference. Thor answered the elder, "Tell them that he is ill and that his kingdom is in lockdown for the moment!"
Varg had laughed; there were days that he had thought of doing something like that, "That can be done." Then he got upon his feet and walked towards the front of the Great Hall. Where a door was and opened it and called out, "Captain! I need my Captain!"
Once he heard that the call was making its way to the front gates. He turned around and walked back to his throne and sate down, where he waited for his captain to show up.
After a few minutes had passed by, a man came running through the door, all clad in his armor upon him. "You called, my Lord?"
Varg smiled wickedly; as he answered the man before him, "I want you to close and lock the gates. I don't want them to be open for anyone; not until you have heard from me, to do otherwise." The ruler of the land waved his hand towards the woman near him. "This is Lyra; Daughter of Thor. Who I will be marrying within these walls and I don't want the gates open until the day after my wedding. Do I make myself clear?"
The Captain of the Guard understood his message, "As you wish, my Lord." Then the Captain turned and ran out of the Great Hall. Heading back towards his post and do what he was told to do.
The young ruler turned towards the other ruler within the room, "Anything else, Thor?"
The reddish-haired Viking thought for a moment. He had his arms crossed and had one of his hands upon his chin, petting his beard as he was thinking. "Yes, there is Varg. I was going to stay here until after the wedding. I want my daughter happy," as the Thunder God gave the mortal man, one of his best glares. "And I'm going to make sure that it happens."
This caused the wolf-dragon to worry about the whole marriage, but before he could say anything. Carraig sighed, "You know that Lyra will be taken well care of, don't you?" The elder had a questionable look within his eyes; as he asked, "Who else upon this green rock would be able to do so?"
Lyra turned her head towards Thor. Where she saw that he had a sparkle in his eyes, like someone who was full of mischief. She had almost thought that he was Loki.
Thor said, "I can think of a few who would want to marry her. But they would only hurt her more than anything because I am her father." This caused a look of pain to pass through his face. "And they would use her to get to and I would have to do what they would want me to do, in order for her to be safe."
