Lyra Luhr had found out the hard way that she was next to Loch Ness. With its monster not that far from where she was standing. The creature was hovering over a dead body of a village woman, with parts of her body missing.

Her body began to tremble from what she had seen. Lyra had experienced a lot of things during her time in crowd control. But she had never had seen something like this before. Sure she had seen people become drunk or high from their intake of substances. But nothing in her life had prepared her for war or seeing someone die before her.

As she heard the Vikings starting to charge towards the lake's shore. Lyra had started reciting Psalm 23. One of few things that would calm her in situations that become unbearable.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie in green pastures; he leadeth me besides still waters."

The waters were not still by any means, for the monster had turned its head towards Lyra once again. Its eyes were fixed upon her. Making her feel like a very small creature and trying to fight back the feeling of anxiety.

"He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me into the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Lyra had started stepping back and away from Nessie; for she did not want to be next on his menu. "My God," gasped out the woman from another time. "Help me," whispered Lyra.

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."

Her eyes began to close on their own; as she called out in a prayer, "Oh God; up in Heaven. Prepare that table with my ancestors as well."

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Then a voice seemed to punch through Lyra's fog that she seemed to surround her mind in. Escaping her brain from the shock that she had found herself in. Her eyes popped open; as she heard, "LYRA!" She glanced towards the sound that the voice was coming from and saw Varg Drake; from a distance. With villagers coming her way. "RUN!"

Lyra had thought about running. Long before her reciting David before he had faced Goliath. But she knew that she just could not stand there and wait for the horror to come, either. With her mind at a focus; she glanced around, running towards the water would not be a good idea. The monster would be able to take her out, faster than it would upon the land.

She then glanced towards the land area and saw that it would not help either. For there was a steep incline, to where it would be hard for her to get away. Besides the short sandy beach that she was on; the shoreline was nothing but rock. Lyra saw that she was trapped and she had nowhere to go.

Varg Drake had noticed what Lyra Luhr had seen. She was boxed in, and there was no way for Lyra to get away from the great creature. Which caused him to look at the massive being on the beachline. Seeing that it had a long neck, which was attached to a big body and a long tail that followed it. He could tell that the creature had dark grey scales and dark shiny green eyes. The eyes alone was driving Varg crazy. For the eyes alone told him that the monster wanted to take Lyra away from him. Varg was making his way down the hillside, towards the loch.

The creature was much faster than he had ever thought. For it had slingshot its neck, to where it was able to grab Lyra from the back of her dress that she was wearing. Picking her up off of the ground, to where she was dangling above the ground.
