Chapter 29

Tarah POV

That night we Charlie and Russ got fire ants and out them in the varsity teams room. We found out that Adam has been sleeping in those dorms instead of ours

Couple minutes after we heard screaming and yelling. They all couldn't get out because Julie tied all doors together

"Alright let them out" said Charlie laughing

Riley and runs out

"You think your funny, you think your worth a damn, your all just trash" he said yelling

"Yeah that's right well take you anytime anywhere" said Charlie

"Tomorrow, Dawn!" he said running to the showers

We all laughed and head back

The next morning it was time to scrimmage the varsity, Coach didn't know but if he found out we were in huge trouble

I heard a knock on the door and it was Charlie

"Wanna walk down together?"

"Sure!"

We walked down and everyone else was already down there

Adam skated up to us

"They didn't tell until it was too late. Tarah, Charlie believe me"

"Yeah right preppy" I said snotty

Adam held his head down and skated away

Charlie went to face off against Riley

"First to 10, full check" said Riley

"Bring it on!"

The puck dropped and Riley beat Charlie down

Varsity scored

"Get loose Charlie!" I yelled

Charlie came up to me

"I am going to beat the crap out of Adam, he keeps messin me up and hooking me!" said Charlie angry

"To be honest with you he has been a jerk so he definitely needs it"

"What are you saying?"

"Do it Charlie"

He smiled and skated off

Charlie POV

I got the puck and skated down and of course Adam was hitting me

"Damn it Banks" I said pulling him down

Everyone started to fight

"Hey guys wait for me" said Tarah

"Get off of me Charlie" yelled Banks

"How do you like it Banks"

"Yeah nice take down, you'd be in the box!"

"Go cry to your rich parents!"

"Fine!" said Adam taking me down

Tarah was fighting with Riley while I had Adam until we heard a whistle

"Freeze!"

Shit, it was Coach

"Hey! Break it up! It's a damn good thing I'm not your coach now get your team out of here now!" he said throwing Riley off of me

He came over and separated Adam and I and Adam skated away while staring at Tarah

"Well congratulations, you just forfeit whatever mental edge you might of had over the varsity, now they know they own you!"

I am so sick of this coach!

"This isn't the PeeWee's, your little Duck tricks aren't going to work in this level"

If he says one more negative thing I'm done

"Now get those Duck jerseys off now...lets go take them off now, Ducks are dead!"

Everyone took there jerseys off but I just crossed my arms

"You got two choices Conway, take off the jersey now or you don't play"

So done!

"Your breaking up the best thing any of us ever had!"

"Well it's time to grow up"

I skated towards him

"Grow up? like you huh...a washed up pro who has to show off to a bunch of kids...yeah that's real grown up"

"Okay good bye Conway"

Good! I skated away

"Anybody else?"

Fulton skated away with me

"Alright, goodbye Fulton. nobody's forcing any of you to be here. it's your life's, you decide what to make of them"

Tarah POV

I can't believe Charlie and Fulton left

We all went home and everyone was quiet

"Tarah, what does this mean between you and Adam" asked Guy

"To be honest, I think everything isn't going to work out.."

I really need to talk to Adam. I walked out and called his phone

three rings and he answered

hello?

We need to talk

meet me by the fountain

I hung up and walked to the fountain

Adam was already sitting there waiting

"Hi" he said quietly

I didn't say anything back

"Tarah, please talk to me"

"What the hell is your deal! You freakin ditch on the team! You don't even pick up your own kids, I had to send them away to Bombay for him to watch them because Bentley isn't getting anything from you! And for you to participate in the pranks varsity has done to us!?"

He didn't say anything

"Well!?"

He looked at me

"Tarah, I'm sorry for everything, I've turned into a real jerk. Varsity really changes you"

"I'm not going to trust you right away"

"I understand.."

"And by the way, you deserved that beating with Charlie. He's had enough with you so I agreed with him"

"That's nice.."

"Well it's true"

It was silent

"I gotta get back with the team"

"Can I come?"

"I don't think it's a good idea, sorry"

I got up

"Maybe call Bombay and ask how your kids are doing!"

I turned around and walked away

"Hey where did you go?" asked Charlie

"I finally talked to Adam."

"And?"

"He has to gain my trust back before anything"

"I agree"

We both walked into the room where the team was and we just watched movies till we were tired
