Y/N's P.O.V
I threw my bag in the back making sure to keep my phone, keys, and address that Mitch gave me, with me. Mitch slid into the passenger side and gazed at me getting situated. I tried to ignore it but eventually I let out a giggle. "What?" he asked.
"Nothin, just I see your gaze there hunty." I replied in a sarcastic tone.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." He replied turning away to look out his window. I giggle and insert my keys into my Jeep as the engine roars to life. I twist the key and put the car in reverse. I bend my body backwards putting one hand on the back of Mitch's seat while keeping the other one on the wheel and pushing the gas pedal. Out of the corner of my eye I see Mitch turn back around to look at me. He was adorable, I swear I could never say that enough in my life. I bring myself back to be back in a normal driver's position and put the car in 4 wheel drive and on the road we went. Mitch was no longer looking at me but at the road. He then glances down to the radio observing its buttons. He makes a move to turn it on but so did I. Without realizing it our fingers collide, yet pushing the button at the same time. Country music started playing. "Sorry." Mitch mumbled.
"It's cool. What station do you want. I know country isn't every ones favorite." I say.
"Oh no, I don't really mind what we listen to. Hey why don't we get to know each other better?" Mitch offers.
"Sure, how do you want to do that?" I reply because we really didn't really know to much about each other.
"Why don't we just ask each other random questions that come to mind? I'll go first." Mitch answers.
"Sounds great, go ahead question away!" I tell him.
"How long have you lived here?" Mitch asked.
"Wait, I need to do the math. Ugh!" I say, Mitch chuckles. I left when I was 16 and I'm 23. So it's been 7 years? "7 years if my calculations are correct." I finally say.
"Wow, that's a long time. Longer then me." He says surprisingly. "Wait your 23 right? That's how old you were earlier so unless it's been a year, you have been here since age 16?" Oh no. He is catching onto something.
"Yeah. I guess so. Wow never realized that." I say, even though I DID realize that.
"That's really young to be moving out." he replies.
" I mean, I guess I really wanted to become independent." I say chuckling trying to get off the subject by lying. He nods but before he could continue I spoke up and said, "Alright my turn."
"K"
" Hmmm. Oh! What kind of things do you like to do? Like as a hobby?" I question him.
"I'm into singing, though always wanted to be a DJ of some sort. What about you?" he says. Singing, something I have NEVER been good at. I've never been good at anything besides being worthless and drawing but mostly worthless.
'Being worthless' was about to come out of my mouth until I came to reality and said "Drawing, I guess."
"That's cool, I'm not very good at drawing things beside stick figures, and yet they still look pretty bad." He replies.
"Awe. You can't be that bad. I mean if I can do it..." I said, the last part being quiet enough that Mitch didn't seem to notice.
"Oh but I am" he chuckles. "We are about to my house just down this road." he says. I notice he has my phone in his hand. It had no pass code but I saw him typing on it. He must have saw me staring because he spoke up and said "I'm just giving you my number and putting your number in my phone because how else are we suppose to hang out?" To be fair I thought he was just saying that to be nice earlier.
"Oh, ok! Is this your house?" I asked.
He nodded finishing up on my phone. He grabbed his stuff from the back and said "Yeah. Thanks so much for the ride! I had a good time, text me later?"
"Of course! It was no problem, glad you had a good time! See ya!" I happily replied. He waved and ran up to his apartment. I really wanted to ask him 'Why are you different from everyone else?' earlier but decided against it because it would most likely mean me telling him to much about my life, getting to deep for my liking's.
Mitch's P.O.V
Whoa!
Y/N seemed to get really touchy about some subjects. I wonder why? I pretended not to notice it at the time, but now that I'm alone walking up my drive way I'm thinking about it. How she said 'It wasn't the worst thing that has happened to me' and how she cut off the subject about how young she was when she moved here. I don't want to get into it to much yet and push it out of her since we had JUST met like 3 hours ago. I unlocked the door to my- our house.
"Wasn't that the girl who was sitting next to us at the beach?" Scott had jumped on me the second I walked in.
"Yeah, once you left we kinda made friends." I said not wanting to also pull Scott into how I actual got to talking to her. She didn't even know him, he didn't need to know everything.
"Cool." He commented walking back to the couch where he originated from. Y/N was hiding something and something she clearly did not want to be known. But she liked drawing? That's cool.
