Chapter ten

Becca's P.O.V

Suddenly, a plan popped into my head as I gazed down to the ground from the balcony.

It wasn't anymore than a ten or eleven foot drop, if I was to jump, but I wouldn't make it without breaking something. I had to think. How can I get down?

After having learned that werewolves exist, being tortured by them, and then finding out I'm a werewolf's other half was way to much for me to handle. I just had to get out of this place and get away from everyone, especially that alpha guy.

I don't handle things very well. Most of the time I push my problems aside and end up forgetting them or they just go away. When it involves bigger things like the news that werewolves exists, I wasn't sure how I was going to get out of this. I just wanted to run away and find some peace. I ran away whenever my parents would fight and I couldn't do anything to stop it.

After that thought, I knew I just had to leave. I've been kidnapped and probably drugged and I planned on leaving and never coming back again.

I came back into the room and started looking for rope or something. I decided to just use the sheets and curtains to tie together and make a rope out of them.

I then realized that James was down stairs. I couldn't just leave him here. The alpha would surely kill him. I had to think of another way for us both to escape.

After tying all the sheets together and figuring a plan to get both James and I out of here, I went to the door and cracked it open to see the guard standing there.

"Um, could you call my friend James and have him come up here, so that I can talk to him about something?" I asked fidgeting with my hands. I was a little afraid of the guard by the way he was looking at me and the fact that he was so big and muscly. I was afraid he would say 'no'.

"I'll have to check with the alpha first." He said in a monotone voice showing no emotion whatsoever.

The guard just stood there not even moving to go ask the alpha. He just had a glazed look over his face.

"So can you go ask him?" I asked getting irritated that the guard wasn't doing anything.

"He said it'll be fine as long as I am there with you. He doesn't trust you and your friend being alone. Your friend will be right up." He said going right back to the way he was standing before I had opened the door.

I wasn't sure if I should go back in the room and wait or if I should stand there. So I decided to leave the door open and go sit on the bed.

Not even five minutes later and James was in the room, along with the guard. The guard stood by the entrance by the door. I didn't like it that I couldn't speak to James privately, so I wrote on a piece of paper.

'I have a way out of this place. We need to get rid of the guard, though. Can you do that?'

James looked shocked at what I had written down. He must've thought I had called him up for something else. He looked hesitant before writing something else down.

'They're fast Becs. And strong. If we get caught, we could be killed instantly.' By now he had a grave look on his face.

I bit my lower lip trying to come up with another plan, but nothing seemed to be clicking. Finally, I remembered something the alpha Raven guy said.
