Chapter eleven
Becca's P.O.V
It all happened so fast, yet it was like it was slow motion.
James had placed his hand around my wrist, just as the brown wolf was charging the tree. James was pulling me up and the wolf must of jumped, but his claws sliced into my leg making me cry out in the excruciating pain.
He had a good grip in my leg and was able to pull James down with me.
I slammed hard onto the ground, pain erupting everywhere in my body, as James came down on me.
I screamed out in pain, my eyes spilling with tears, and my hands reaching automatically to my leg.
James scurried to his feet the moment he was able to get off of me. I was barely able to glance up at James, before I saw only fury and anger in his eyes. He looked as if he could kill anyone and everyone with just one look at them.
He started to shake furiously and before I knew it he charged the brown wolf, jumping into the air and going wolf. The furl growl coming from him made it clear the he was beyond angry and was going to kill the wolf that hurt me.
I tried to turn and shout at them to stop, but the smallest movement made my body jump in pain. I gasped as my hands went instinctively to my leg, where blood was seeping out. Trying to help easy the pain and to stop the blood.
"S-Stop- s-stop, pl-please...I b-beg you to st-" I couldn't speak anymore, the little bit I did hurt.
Suddenly, a black wolf and two others were hovering over me, looking down at me before the black wolf's eyes went to my leg. It let out a low growl, but then left behind a tree.
It came back and to my surprise it was the blue eyed boy from the school. It must have been written on my face that I was shocked to see him, because his friends next to me did a wolfish chuckle.
He knelt down next to me to check my leg. His fingers skimmed the jean material, but even then it was still sensitive and fresh.
"Ow!" I hissed, biting down to keep myself from screaming out in pain. My eyes went back to James only to see that there were other wolves circling him and the brown one. "Make it stop." I said before leaning my head back down to regain my strength.
"We'll have to take you to our pack doctor to help make the pain go away." He said as he looked at the two other wolves that I could only guess were the other two boys from the school that were with him. "The alpha is coming don't worry."
"No, not that." I said my breathing getting heavy. "Make them stop. I don't want my friend to get hurt." I all but barely croaked out.
He looked reluctant, but then curtly nodded at the two wolves.
I watched the best I could through my half blurred eyes. The two wolves shifted to human forms and I was correct. It was the two guys from school.
"Enough!" The one with the brown hair growled out. He stood between James and the brown wolf.
The brown wolf growled lowly at the boy who stood between him and James, but one loud growl from blue eyes here and he shifted back, looking furious than anyone I've ever seen. He was pacing back and forth, in a small line. James stood there looking more collect than the other guy did, but you could still see the hint of hate in his eyes.
"J-James." I whispered.
I knew he heard me, because his and everyone else's head turned towards me. The look on James' face was enough for me to know what was going through his head. He was probably beating himself up for not pulling me up quick enough, or worse blaming himself for not getting us out of here fast enough.
My eyes drifted through the crowd before I recognized the guy who was fighting with James. It was the same guy who almost killed me back in the cell.
I unconsciously started to scoot back before pretty boy here stopped me.
"Don't worry, he and everyone else here aren't going to hurt you." He said trying to sooth my nerves. His voice was rough, yet warm and strong.
James came over to me, but couldn't touch me. Every time he tried a growl would erupt from almost every wolf near us.
The pain was worsening, and my leg was going numb.
"James!" I screamed as a shot of pain went through me. "It hurts! It hurts! James!" I cried out, tears sliding down my face.
"Why aren't you guys helping her!" James growled out loudly. He was getting angry, that much was obvious. "Where is your pack doctor or your 'alpha'?" He spat out bitterly.
"They're coming, but if you haven't noticed you are at our borders. The pack doctor is on the other side, so maybe if you hadn't have run off in the first place none of this would have happened!" The guy who almost killed me growled back at James.
They both kept growling, before a new voice was heard. One that sounded sexy, yet pretty pissed off. I could already guess who it was, by the way the other wolves were acting.
It was the alpha, Raven.
"Help her." He ordered the pack doctor that was trailing behind him, as he bent down and inspected my leg before he let out a low deadly growl. "What happened?" He barked out to wolves.
"I went to check in with Tom who was watching them, when I entered the room the balcony doors were open and he was lying there dead." The man who tried to kill me said.
The woman was touching my leg and I kept gripping the ground trying not to be loud. The pain was so much, I wasn't sure I was able to keep all the screams and groans inside.
I couldn't focus on what they were saying as I could tell I was slipping into darkness. It was coming, but I wasn't ready to go pass out yet. I wasn't sure what would happen while I would be out, so I had to say something that would ensure James' safety since I wasn't sure if he would be alive when I would awake again.
"Jam-James. Raven." I croaked out trying my hardest to be loud, but failing to do so.
Thank goodness they heard me, I for one was grateful for them to have super hearing. Raven bent down and held my hand while his thump rubbed soothing circles on it. James was to my right watching Raven, yet keeping an eye on me.
"Don't do anything, please." I said my voice becoming dryer by the second. "Please? Wait for me to- I don't want anything to happen-." I was unable to finish my sentence as my vision blurred to darkness where it stayed.
Author's note:
Sorry for the short chapter. I know it's sorta boring, but I am trying to give you guys two chapters a month. It's the busy month of the year, and I've been studying some finals and doing some Christmas shopping and all. But don't worry, the next few chapters are longer and have more Becca and Raven moments.
Thanks again you all for sticking with me and my book, also thanks to those who are following me:)
Merry Christmas!!! (Also for those who get offended with Christmas, suck it up. Seriously.)
Also, I'm trying to figure out when it will be best to have Becca get marked and all of that juicy detail ;)
Anyways, don't forget to vote and comment. Please!!! :)
