Chapter twelve.

Becca's P.O.V.

The sound of muffled voices and a machine beeping were what had awoken me. As I began to open my eyes, all I could see was a bright white light. I turned me head to the side and rubbed my eyes with my hands.

When I finally was able to open them, I saw that I was in a small hospital room. As I looked around I saw Raven and four other guys talking. Raven was saying something until he suddenly stopped and whipped his head in my direction and was by my side in a flash.

It startled me for a second before I regained my composure and looked at him and then everyone else, then back at him. I wasn't sure if he was going to yell at me or punish me or anything, so I laid there avoiding his eyes and waited for him to speak.

"Are you feeling any better?" He asked, although it sounded slightly forced, I was glad he wasn't yelling at me. I don't think I could handle that just yet.

Swallowing and clearing my voice, I nodded my head knowing that my voice would sound hoarse and scratchy if I was to talk.

Shortly after that, it fell into an awkward silence. The four guys had left and it was just me and Raven there waiting for the other to speak. I was nervous and kept messing with the blanket that was on me. I refused to look at Raven, because it was intimidating to stare into his eyes not knowing what he was thinking.

Right when I was thinking of something to say, the boy with blues walked in with a pitcher of ice cold water and a cup. I sat up quickly as he poured some water and handed me the cup.

"Thanks." I said politely to him after I had finished drinking the water.

"You're welcome." He said giving me a small smile, before turning and looking at Raven. "Alpha." He said bowing his head slightly.

"Eric." Raven said with a bitter tone before sitting down on the bed and pulling me close to him.

I tried to pull away from Raven. I didn't like the way he had his hand around my waist, nor the closeness I was with him. I could feel the shocks of electricity, even through the material I was wearing. It was a strange feeling, but none the less an amazing feeling.

"You may leave now." He said to Eric.

Eric put the cup on the counter and bowed again to Raven and left. After he left, Raven loosened his hold around my waist and sat in front of me. He just sat there and starred at me. I didn't like the way he was looking at me, it not only made me uncomfortable, but it gave me butterflies and made me want to crawl over to him and sit on his lap.

"Why did you try to leave me?" He ordered after a few moments of silence. He starred down at me waiting for my answer.

When I looked up, I saw a glimpse of what he was either thinking or feeling. Hurt, anger, and frustration. I swallowed rather loudly, before I answered him. Trying to think of the best way to tell him why without offending him.

"Well, I was kidnapped and after everything that has happened it seemed like a good escape. To forget about everything." I said giving my best firm eye contact, but even then I struggled to be confident against him. He made me feel as though I was weaker than him and that I was in the wrong. It didn't help that he was bigger than me.

"Why would you want to forget about what you've learned? About me?" He sounded sincerely hurt, but under his ruff tone and hard voice I would've missed it if I didn't look up in time.

"Maybe because everything I learned shouldn't be real. I mean come on, werewolves shouldn't exist. They are myths and legends." I said getting a little frustrated that everyone acts as though its a normal thing for werewolves to be real.
