Taylor's POV

I woke up to something soft on my cheek. I opened my eyes and I was in my bed. How did I get here? I sat up and looked around, on my bedside table there was a note.

Dear Taylor, you fell asleep last night so I moved you to your bed. I have our paper and I'll turn it in tomorrow. I know you hate speaking in front of a group so I turned off your alarm, I hope that's ok. Maybe we can hang out again soon.

-Austin

I wasn't mad that Austin turned off my alarm, in a way it was sweet that he thought about me. Maybe I shouldn't be so skeptical, he seems nice enough. To be honest I have no idea what to think, my brain is so confused with emotions.

I cleared my mind and decided to take a shower. I glanced over at the clock and saw it was 10:30. I grabbed my clothes and hopped in the shower. When I got out my phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked as I walked to the kitchen.

"Hey! Can I come over and hang out? I'm ditching school. I made it to first period saw you were gone and called you!" Victoria said in a ramble. Just as I was about to answer the doorbell rang.

"Hang on Victoria." I opened the front door.

"Oops you don't have a choice, we're hanging out!" Victoria jumped through the door and hugged me.

"I'm so happy you're here!" I hugged her back and walked into the kitchen. "I have so much to tell you!" she followed me into the kitchen and sat down.

"Tell. Me. Everything!" She rested her elbows on the counter, and looked and at me with her eyebrows up.

"I think I might like Austin. I can't describe how I feel, one minute he is a rude jerk who could care less about me, and the next he is a nice sensitive guy."

"Ooo it sounds like you like him." She wiggled her eyebrows.

"I don't know, I barely know him. I don't even know why he talked to me in the first place. He said he liked my poem, but I doubt it." I looked down at my hands, and leaned against the kitchen counter.

"Just be friends with him and see where it goes." She smiled at me.

"I guess, now can we eat I'm starving!"

Victoria and I walked to a little cafe down the street. I ordered a ham sandwich with tomato, lettuce, and mustard. I was listening to Victoria talk to her mom on her phone when my phone buzzed.

Austin: Hey we got an A!

Taylor:Yay!

Austin: yeah! I'll pick you up for school tomorrow.

Taylor: ok

"No mom! I refuse to date Charles! I don't care if he is an honor student, I'm not dating him!" Victoria yelled at her mom. There was a pause before she spoke again, "No! I'm going now bye mom!"

I laughed as she tried to dramatically hang up. "Ah Victoria and Charles sitting in a tree.."

"No! No! No, trees, no Charles, no anything." she waved her fork in my face, I held my hands up in defense.

"Okay, I give!!" I laughed.

"Taylor?" her tone was calmer, "Are you still gonna leave?"

Her question caught me off guard. "I have to, if or when Kyle gets out of jail he'll come for me, and even if he doesn't his 'posy' will, and if neither of those happen I have to leave, and you know why."

"I know I just hopped you would've changed your mind..."

"lets just try to forget about it for now, and focus on the now okay?"

"Okay, your right." She giggled.

"So about this Charles.." I started

"Oh dear lordy.." She sighed, throwing her head in her hands.
