mollie's pov
After the hot sauce incident and when Lillian caught me and Luke, I decided to end my social life. Well, it was already over...but whatever is left of it was a goner.
Anyway, Luke didn't break up with me after all. In fact, he told me it was cute, seeing me shaking wet in hot sauce. I cried, it was terrible and ugly, but all that mattered was that Luke found me cute.
This happened over the course of twenty minutes, of course, but it felt like days.
Morene and Ryanne had there laughs with me, but they were the only ones to really take any big interest. But glances were thrown at my fit.
Anyway, now, I was upstairs, sitting on the steps alone. My short, curly hair was damp and I twirled some curls into ringlets on my fingers, bored.
The atmosphere of the party was very "party-like," as expected. The lighting was very dim but Lillian and the crew hung up some purple-tinted lanterns around the rafters of the log cabin. A few hung off the staircase banister and the one that railed around the top floor, but they were colored blue. Lillian also granted us with loud music at all times. Thanks!
I sighed a little, wondering where Luke had gone, until I caught the glimpse of Kaden Lara approaching me on the stairs. A foolish smile appeared on my face as he sat down beside me, smiling as well.
"Beat already, Mol?" He said, still wearing that same foolish smile, punching me very faintly in the shoulder.
Kaden Lara was heavily built, always wore a yellow jacket and a band t-shirt of some sort, and he, more than often, had a pair of headphones on him. I liked that last part, means he's dependable for something.
Me and Kaden used to date, to get that elephant out of the room. I know it's not all that dramatic, considering I'm with the hottest guy in the whole entire universe right now, but maybe you can find some entertainment out of that.
I snickered at his comment, shaking my head slightly. "Of course not. You saw the hot sauce thing, didn't you?" He nodded his head. "Didn't everyone? Damn, Mol,"
"Red is not your color." He smiled a toothy grin and I felt my face become hot as I returned the smile. Kaden looked at me, studying my features, my frosty blue eyes, my curly, dark brown locks, and my black, nerd frame glasses. To avoid further awkwardness, I reached up and ruffled his short, soft brown hair.
He let out a laugh under his breath, then got up clumsily, and left.
I enjoyed our little talks well enough. Every time, I was left smiling brightly.
But, before you ask, I didn't like him. No way, no how. Luke-y pooky was the only one for me.

jake's povI had been standing in the same corner talking to various people. First, Ryanne, who is mildly annoying but we're still somewhat friends, then Rianne, who I talked to for the longest (about 20 minutes; she is also mildly annoying), and Aidan, whom I didn't like very much.
So, when Molly got drenched in hot sauce, I had no choice but to move out of my corner and socialize. I'm 5'4, dark chocolate hair, pale, interchanging eye colors. I'm not very popular, Ryanne's way of putting it is that I'm a nerd. I guess I am, but that's not important.
As soon as I took the floor, I still stood with a drink in hand, awkwardly until someone came over to talk. No one did so I plopped on the couch. I was alone once more.
Currently, everyone was socializing, drinking, or dancing. I was the wallflower of the party. I was the wallflower of everything. It seemed like I had no friends; even if there was someone reaching out to me, I often refused or stayed distant because it was usually Ryanne. And I don't like Ryanne very much.
Ryanne is self-entitled, she's an asshole, and everything's gotta be about her. But, I guess we all have our flaws.
I was suddenly drug out of my silent rant when Kaden sat down beside me on the couch. He terribly wreaked of alcohol.
"Hey Kaden," I said, still looking blankly forward. "H-hey." He muttered back, putting an arm around me momentarily making everything awkward.
"You wanna buy a drink from me, Rianne?" He slurred through his sentence, making zero sense. "I'm Jake," My head didn't move nor did my gaze, I just spoke simply. Tonight wasn't my night. "Rianne." Kaden said, putting his finger on my nose. "Kaden," I warned, pulling his finger away from me.
He turned to face me, looking me lopsidedly in the face. "Rianne, you're very....very..." He put a finger in the air, telling me to wait a second, "...pretty..."
I looked at him oddly, raising an eyebrow. "Kaden?"
"Rianne," He moved closer to me until our faces touched and I immediately tried to pull away from him, but Kaden put a grip on my arm.
"Kaden! Kaden, I'm Jake! Not Ria-" As I tried to stop him, my voice was muffled by a drunk, sloppy kiss.
He pulled away, or rather I pushed him, puking milliseconds afterwards. Kaden got up, leaving it at that, and I decided to brush my teeth for two reasons,
One, Kaden Lara is gross and drunk. Two, I just threw up.
