At first it seemed like the others had no idea what was going on. They needed help for the most part, but other than that...when it was beat...everyone was enjoying themselves.
Morene was the first to stand up. She was clearly confused, but she began to laugh faintly which made Mackayla erupt in laughter. Then everyone was laughing. Well, not me. I was just sitting there, laid back against the wall, with a weird grin on my face. I watched everyone enjoy their first time.
So, now, it was Kaden's turn to do something. He stood up and then fell back on the bed that he'd been sitting against and Jake sat there; he was still laughing.
"Did you know..." Morene started, stumbling, "you can buy hydrofluoric acid on the interwebs?" She laughed some more. "Is this laced?" Mackayla piped up through more laughter.
"No, its..." I replied, struggling to stand up. I fell back down the wall and everyone, including myself, broke out into laughter again. As soon as I caught myself, I walked over a laid on the bed. It was quiet for a few minutes or hours....or days...I wasn't really sure how long it'd been since I laid down.
"How long has it been?" I rolled over on the bed and for some reason, faced Jake. "Since what?" He replied causally. "Oooookay then!" I rolled back over, ignoring him. "How long has time passed since I laid on the bed?" I tried to make sense tiredly.
"Twelve," said Mackayla. I nodded, satisfied with the answer.
"Okay, let's go." I said jumping up abruptly and marching over to the door. Everyone blindly followed except Toni and Mackayla. I wondered why.
Anyway, when we got downstairs, things looked dimmer and the colored lights were more vibrant. I was pretty amazed and slack-jawed.
Lillian walked over to me and my eyes popped out of my head. "Whoa!" I screamed practically. She rolled her eyes, "Have you been smoking?" I nodded slowly, earning a joking sigh.
"Sorryyyyyy?" I drug out the 'y,' then smiled at her. "Anyway, are you going to be passing out anytime soon?"
"When does this party end?" I said, holding up a finger and looking around. "Sunday, it's like midnight now." Lillian put her hand on her hip and looked around for a moment.
Suddenly, Aidan came up behind her, putting an arm on her back. I made a raspberry noise with my hand and mouth, but he brushed it off. "I can smell the pot from her, Ryanne," He inhaled intensely jokingly, "It's lovely,"
Lillian smiled, and looked up at him, who was taller, "What's up?"
"Well, I got news; it's bad." Aidan said, stepping to the side, "the word is that there's a 'big storm' heading this way," He paused, looking up and pressing his lips together, "but we should be out before it hits, so don't worry about it, Lil." He patted her back twice, and walked off, Lillian hesitated to speak for a moment. "Are you going to be okay? Is the baby alright?" I spoke up after a few minutes of silence.
"Ryanne, lay down, you're high."
