You know those times when you see something and think its completely fine, but in actual fact its not what you thought it was? Yeah, that's what happened when I woke up from my restless night in the principals office.
Something was tickling my nose, but I thought it was nothing so I dismissed it. Turns out it wasn't nothing and I had a huge huntsman on my face.
Long story short, I screamed, Charlie woke up, I bumped over Mr. Alan's laptop and the huntsman found its way out under the door.
At least he had freedom.
"What happened?" Charlie screamed at me, clearly confused.
"A huntsman was on my face," I said felling guilty. "It's gone now. Sorry."
Charlie sat back down and continued to play on the phone she found in the confiscated drawer. A phone? A phone!
"Charlie, you're holding a phone!" Charlie's face lit up and she instantly tried to call someone. Unfortunately, the phone decided to run out of charge at that exact moment.
"Great." I whispered under my breath. We were going to be in here for a while.
~~~
According to my watch we had been here for 31 hours. My patience was getting lower and lower and soon, I was going to crack.
A faint scratching sound was coming from outside the door. In fear, Charlie and I grabbed onto each other. The suspense was almost too much to handle until, Jared, Sam, Jo and Mia burst through the door. There was also Myra tagging along, but she doesn't classify as human.
"What are you all doing here?" I asked, very confused at how they knew we were in here.
"Running!" They all said in unison, making me even more confused.
"From what?"
They all gave each other a look that I couldn't make out.
Eventually, Mia piped up and told us what was going on. "The police."
"Why?"
"Because someone decided to punch the police officer!" Jared said, giving Sam a pure death glare.
"Hey! It wasn't my fault. He wouldn't answer my question."
Everybody erupted into an argument and Charlie and I gave each other a confused look. The noise was getting too much, so I yelled over the top of everyone. Everyone turned to look at me.
"Now that I've got all of your attention, from the start. What happened?"
Jo stepped forward. "Since non of this was my fault, I will give an unbiased telling of the story. So, since you were missing, you weren't answering your text messages. So Mia and I went to the Taekwondo hall to see if you were there. Obviously you weren't there, but we found Jared and Sam training, and Myra clinging to Jared."
"Hey! I was-"
"Let me finish. When we arrived Sam and Jared ran over to us and asked if you were there. Your dad was frantically trying to ring someone to find out where you were. Jared, Sam, Mia and I went to the police station."
"Hey! And me!"
"Nobody cares Myra! Anyway, Sam asked if they had found you yet and the police officer just told him to leave. It ended up in a fight and Sam punched the police officer. The other officers on duty started to chase us and we ran to where they were doing their main investigation, the school. That's how we ended up here. We found you and we can go home!" I instantly felt a sense of relief. I really needed the bathroom and I was as hungry as a horse.
"Um, guys? Was anybody watching the door?" Charlie asked. She couldn't see the door because everyone was crowded around it. Everybody's eyes trained to the door and we all sighed of frustration.
Jo and Mia sat next to me and Jared and Sam sat across from us. Charlie and Myra on the other hand, were sitting next to Jared.
After a while Jared said, "Hey guys, why don't we play truth or dare?"
