The Refuge (Noire x Writer)

The Rise (3 months later)

     It had been three months since Noire and I saw ourselves as a couple. And the reporters of Lastation were desperately trying to get an interview from me and Noire. The only way you can shake off the media is if you make them stop. But right now, I was hanging out at the night club with Riley. The DJ knew how to jam! I was getting a drink when, suddenly, I felt very weird and made my way to the back of the building. I put a hand on the wall as I felt like I was about to barf. Did I drink too much? I fell to the ground and fell unconscious. I heard a voice that said letters one by one. I put them together

???-"I-W-I-L-L-A-V-E-N-G-E-H-I-M-A-N-D-H-A-V-E-Y-O-U-R-H-E-A-D"

     Right after he finished talking I felt myself waking up. I awoke behind the building with a massive headache. I went back inside and Riley came up to me.

-"Where did you go?" He asked.

-"Outside, for some reason, there's better Wi-Fi connection outside."

-"Yeah, I noticed that too. Anyway, I'm ready to leave, you?"

-"Yeah, I'm ready, let's go."

     We went outside and started flying towards Lastation. I landed on the balcony of the Basilicom and waved to Riley as he went back to Planeptune. I got inside and saw that Noire's door was open a bit. I went next to the door to listen in and heard the TV playing. She was just watching TV. I went back to my room, got in bed and let my thoughts consume me.

THE NEXT DAY

     I awoke to the sound of an explosion and quickly went to the balcony to see what looked like a fleet of space ships firing lasers and missiles at buildings. The biggest one caught my attention, as soon as I looked at it, I heard the same voice from earlier say the same letters again. That had to be the mothership. Noire ran up to my side and looked on in horror as she saw her nation getting destroyed in front on her.

-"We have to evacuate the people! But we also have to deal with our attackers." I said.

-"I'll handle the evacuation, you get in there and destroy them!"

-"You got it babe." I said as I flew away.

     I couldn't hear her reaction since I was too far away to hear her. I don't know if she was blushing or she was just yelling at me, being the tsundere that she is. I boosted towards the main fleet vessel and starting charging up to form a plasma shield around me. Just as I was about to hit the hull, I winded up my punch and blew right through the hull to land in what looked like a hanger bay that was deploying troops in smaller ships. I lunged at the fueling station with my flame blade, sliced it and created another plasma shield. The entire hanger exploded. I made my way through every room, destroying them one by one, killing the enemies at the same time. I finally made it to the door to the main control room. I flicked my wrist and my fist turned into plasma. I punched through the door, grabbed it from the inside and tore it off the hinges. I walked in slowly while I saw faces of terror from the things manning the consoles. I saw what looked like the captain of the ship in his boss chair. I tapped the floor with my foot and he turned to face me. 

-"So you're the "Savior of the souls" I keep hearing about?" He said.

-"Yeah, you got a problem with that?" I asked threateningly.

-"A little bit seeing as you..."

-"Seeing as I what?" I said impatiently.

-"Seeing as you...KILLED MY SON!!!!" He said while thrusting his sword towards me.

     I ducked just in time to dodge his attack. I could tell he was strong but, now that I knew how to defeat his kind thanks to Sophie, I would be able to beat him. Let's go!

     10 MINUTES LATER

     I walked over to where he laid on the ground, wounded. 

-"It seems you are the one that they speak of, the protector of souls. Before I die let me know your name."

     I lifted my sword and said:

-"No."

     I was about to swing down my sword, but something stopped me. I felt something, something different, something bad, I felt a spike go through my chest. 

-"Who's the strong one now?" He asked.

-"I still am."

     I quickly swung my sword backwards, cutting whoever was stabbing me and removed the spike. I turned around and saw him running. I flipped my sword so that the blade was in my hand. I engraved my name on the sword and threw it like a throwing knife. He turned around just in time for it to land in his face, the entire sword went through his skull as I saw bits of his brain and blood fly out the back of his head.

-"There's my name."

 I knew I won. But there were still the smaller ships I had to deal with. To finish this one, I went to the main drive core and placed a mini-nuke on it and set the controls to a detonator which it dispensed. I began running out of the ship since if they found it, they would try to defuse it. I flew away and landed on the balcony of the Basilicom where I had a good view of the ship. I hit the button and the display showed:"DETONATING". Soon after, I saw a massive ball of flames erupt from the side of the ship and it crashed down. I saw the other ships going down shortly after that. Were they linked to the main ship? I saw Noire flying towards me with a look of relief. I flew up to her level and she flew into me, hugging me. 

-"Did you finish it?" She asked.

-"Yes, they won't be coming back anymore."

-"Thank you Rick."

     I looked back at her and replied with a kiss. We went back down and the people of Lastation were cheering our names in unison. I grabbed her hand and lifted our arms to show that we were united.

-"This reminds me, we still need to do the blood binding." She said.

-"You're right."

-"Let's do that as soon as we can!"

     And thus, we both got to work on restoring the nation as I felt the power that Sophie gave me get stronger.
