I was in complete darkness but I could hear voices around me. All of them I recognised to be my friends, my worried friends. I wanted so badly to jump up and tell them I was okay but I had no control of myself at that moment.
"Why hasn't she woke up yet?" I heard JB ask.
"Give her time. You did the right thing" Jackson said to him.
I heard someone walk and stand beside me, touching my hand and squeezing it.
"Please be okay" JB said.
My eyes fluttered open and there he was, a very worried looking JB smiling down at me. I smiled at him to reassure him that I was okay.
"Hey" I said.
He smiled and leaned down and kissed me passionately. We pulled away, I sat up and got off of the bed that I was on. Everything felt different, more intense like everything was in HD. There was a mirror across from me and I caught glimpse of myself, bright red eyes and pale skin. I was a vampire.
"I know it's a lot to adjust to but you'll get used to it" JB said from beside me.
"No no I look kind of cool" I turned to face JB. "I don't remember much though"
JB's face fell. What had happened?
"I couldn't save James from Genevieve. The guys killed her but we couldn't save him, I'm so sorry Taylor"
I put his face in to hands and looked deep in to his eyes.
"It was not your fault. I never want to hear you blame yourself for what happened to James" I said reassuringly.
"But I wanted to save you both" he said with tears in his eyes.
"I know you did but you didn't kill him. That bitch did"
"But..."
"But nothing. This is our new start, I'm like you now so let's move on and just remember James for how he was when he was alive"
He nodded and I kissed his cheek. I hated seeing him like this, James's death wasn't his fault. It was Genevieve's fault, she was the one who drained his blood from his body. His death wasn't the result of JB.
"Come on. We have the rest of your lives to live" I said grabbing his hand.
He smiled at me and nodded. This was the beginning of the rest of our lives.
